in this thought-provoking memoir, a sailor returns to the sea to seek redemption and renewal in the wake of infidelity and divorce.
Excerpt from ONCE UPON A GyPSy MOON:
(cover not final)
“To me, sailing is a way of looking at life, or it is nothing. It is a philosophy, not a space on one’s calendar between the Friday board meeting and Sunday brunch....People do not sail out of sight of land and endure the monotony of an unchanging sea for days on end, punctuated occasionally by the heart-thumping anxiety of storms and the uncertain contours of a distant landfall, far from aid, because it is fun. (Though to be fair, in many moments it is precisely that.) They sail because they know the journey itself is its own reward, that it leads to someplace beyond a mere geographical destination, and because they hear the call of Thoreau’s distant drummer to go wherever that might be.”
Michael Hurley watched his world unravel following an extramarital affair that ended his 25-year marriage. In August 2009, he was short of money, out of a job, and seeking to salvage a life that had foundered. Deeply in need of perspective, he took to the open seas in a 32-foot sailboat, Gypsy Moon. His two-year outward odyssey, deterred by rough weather and mechanical troubles, mirrors an introspective search for true love and meaning. While at sea, he began writing keen observations to reconcile events from his own past, and through these poignant, personal stories, he draws larger life lessons for the reader on such diverse topics as faith and disbelief, life and death, love and marriage.

OUR STEM CELLS
LIVE THE DREAM
The Mystery of Life and Secrets of Healing
No More Excuses
Dr. Robin L. Smith, Msgr. Tomasz Trafny, and Dr. Max Gomez
LARRY WINTERS Marketing executive Larry Winters offers the keys to success and financial freedom.
True stories of people’s health struggles—and the exciting scientific improvements and cures many of them are experiencing because of adult stem cell research and treatment.
At the age of 24, working with his wife at a car wash, Larry Winters was struggling to get by. He decided he needed to make a change for the better, so he seized control of his life and, day by day, built his own business. Along the way, he learned valuable lessons about sacrifice, personal responsibility, determination, and independence.
OUR STEM CELLS is an easy to read, carefully researched, and clear-eyed view of medicine many decades in the making that is now paying off with treatments that repair damaged hearts, restore sight, kill cancer, cure diabetes, heal burns, and stop the march of such degenerative diseases as Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, and Lou Gehrig’s disease. The emotionally and intellectually stimulating stories throughout the book dramatically illustrate that stem cell therapies can change the way we live our lives after being afflicted by a disease or trauma. The book is the result of a unique collaboration between the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Culture and the Stem for Life Foundation. It includes a special address by His Holiness Benedict XVI, urging increased support and awareness for advancements in adult stem cell research.
LIVE THE DREAM is Winters’s inspiring story of his journey from a young man with no ambition to an accomplished man in complete control of his financial destiny. He uses examples from his own life to teach readers how to gain their own financial freedom. Most importantly, Winters stresses how self-limitation is damaging and holds people back, keeping them from achieving the successful lives they desire. A blueprint for anyone who wants to succeed, LIVE THE DREAM will encourage readers to give up the excuses and achieve their life goals, all while staying grounded in what really matters: family, friends and faith.

Thunder and Rain
The Perfect Gentleman
A Muslim Boy Meets the West
New York Times bestselling author Charles Martin’s spellbinding novel about a retired Texas Ranger, torn between his past and future, is now in paperback.
Now in paperback, Imran Ahmad’s “charming, laugh-out-loud-funny memoir of a Pakistani Muslim boy growing up in the western world!”
Third generation Texas Ranger Tyler Steele is the last of a dying breed—a modern-day cowboy living in a world that doesn’t quite understand his clear view of right and wrong and instinct to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Despite his strong moral compass, Ty has trouble seeing his greatest weakness. His hard outer shell, the one essential to his work, made him incapable of forging the emotional connection his wife Andie so desperately needed.
At the age of one, Ahmad and his family emigrated to England, where he grew up to become a self-proclaimed “good boy”—an obedient son, an excellent student, and a respectful adherent to his faith. Fully embracing his new culture, he strove to become the quintessential English gentleman, taking to heart the founding principles of his new culture—truth, justice, equality, fair play…and a passion for the Jaguar XJS.
Now retired, raising their son Brodie on his own, and in risk of losing his ranch, Ty doesn’t know how to rebuild from the rubble of his life. The answer comes in the form of Samantha and her daughter Hope. On the run from an abusive ex who has the resources and the determination to hunt them down, they are in danger, desperate, and alone. Ty knows he can help—protecting the innocent is what he does best. As his relationship with Sam and Hope unfolds, Ty realizes he must confront his weakness if he wants to protect them and, ultimately, offer the real strength they truly need.
When a fellow schoolboy tries to convert him, Ahmad sets off on a life-long quest to assure himself that his religious choice is the right one. Seeking guidance from his faith for such personal experiences as racism, bigotry, the profligate behavior of his peers, and the bewildering signals of the opposite sex makes for thoughtful—and downright delightful—reading. With a unique style and unflinching honesty, THE PERFECT GENTLEMAN addresses serious issues in an extraordinarily light way and will leave readers thinking deeply and laughing out loud.

A Life Without Limits A World Champion’s Journey
A World Champion’s Advice for Peak Performance
Chris McCormack with Tim Vandehey Foreword by Mark Allen
Chrissie Wellington, the #1 female Ironman athlete in the world, shares her adventurous climb to the top—now in paperback.
Ironman champion Chris “Macca” McCormack reveals everything it takes to become one of the world’s greatest athletes.
In 2007, Chrissie Wellington shocked the triathlon world by winning the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. As a newcomer to the triathlon and a complete unknown to the press, Chrissie’s win shook up the sport. A LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS is the story of her rise to the top, a journey that has taken her around the world, from a childhood in England to the mountains of Nepal, to the oceans of New Zealand and the trails of Argentina, and first across the finish line. Wellington’s first-hand, inspiring story includes all of the incredible challenges she has faced—from anorexia to near drowning to training with a controversial coach. Wellington’s fast-paced rise to the top has also given her an opportunity to improve the lives of others. A LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS reveals the heart behind Wellington’s success, along with the diet, training, and motivational techniques that keep her going through one of the world’s most grueling events.
With the record for most triathlon wins and more than 200 race victories—among them 12 Ironman Championships, including two Hawaii Ironman World Championships and seven World Cup Championships—Chris McCormack may be the world’s greatest athlete. In I’M HERE TO WIN, he opens his playbook and shares the story of his triumphs and the never-say-die dedication that has made him the world’s most successful triathlete. I’M HERE TO WIN also provides concrete training advice for everyone—from weekend warriors who casually compete to seasoned veterans who race every week to armchair athletes looking for an extra push. It provides insight into the mind of a great champion with excitement and inspiration on every page.

Baxter, Maya, and Molly are three dogs with three very different personalities—and different life lessons, which they may impart willingly or reveal only to those who know what to seek. Here’s a taste of what Ziselman is able to decipher from their barking, tail-wagging, and stubborn conquest of the coziest chair in the living room:
• Listen, especially when there’s nothing to hear. • If you’re going to be moody, “happy” is a pretty good choice. • Be heard. • When it comes to what matters, size doesn’t. • If it belongs to you, prove it.

Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind
Kenneth E. Salyer, MD
Mallory Factor with Elizabeth Factor
Inspiring stories from the surgeon who has transformed children’s faces—and lives—by his groundbreaking surgical procedures, and transformed himself in the process.
An electrifying exposé of employee unions’ assault on government—and of the grave danger they pose to American democracy itself.
Dr. Kenneth E. Salyer surveys the landscape of his 40-year career as a surgeon, relaying the moving stories of the children who initially inspired him to found the World Craniofacial Foundation. His memoir chronicles the pioneering efforts that led to today’s clinics across the globe and offer the hope of a good life to hundreds of poor children in still developing countries who might otherwise be shunned, isolated, or abandoned. In a voice that’s compelling, eloquent, and always impassioned, Dr. Salyer issues a call for a new worldwide understanding of the terribly disfigured, and he encourages readers to take inspiration from these children as they endeavor to transform their own challenges into triumphs. “Possessing a face you aren’t forced to hide is a fundamental human right,” he says, “as important to a fully lived life as freedom from fear or want.”
This story of intrigue, drama, and corruption reads like an organized crime novel, but it’s the true story of how labor unions are infiltrating government and corrupting the political process. It exposes how unions organize federal, state, and local government workers without their consent, and how these government employee unions are a threat to workers’ freedoms, free and fair elections, the rule of law, and the American way of life. In SHADOWBOSSES, readers will discover: • How the union movement is now driven by government employee unions and how our association of unions with impoverished Norma Rae and miners fighting for safer working conditions is hopelessly out of date • How the teachers’ unions control what goes on in the classroom in all 50 states and are letting our most precious resources—our children—fall behind the rest of the world • How government employee unions forcibly collect billions in dues income which they use to elect politicians to do their bidding • W hy workers who get forced into unions have very little chance of getting out

■ JT The Brick is the #1 overnight sports talk radio host in america, with more than one million nightly listeners. His show is heard on 260 stations syndicated by fox Sports radio, and is part of the Premiere Networks, the home of Glenn Beck, Steve Harvey, and rush limbaugh. ■ Tournour is the only sports talk radio personality who is also employed by an Nfl team. He hosts the pre-game and post-game reports for the oakland raiders, and also has a weekly Tv show, The Raiders Report, on comcast SportsNet. ■ a contributor on fox, cNN, and MSNBc, Tournour has made multiple appearances on Hardball with Chris Matthews and On the Record with Greta van Susteren. ■ Tournour engages his extensive fan base through Twitter, facebook, and his webpage on the fox Sports radio website.
John Tournour, known to his listeners and fans as JT The Brick, is one of the biggest sports radio personalities in the country. Making it as a sports radio host is no easy feat, but JT brought his token fire and determination, leaving a fast-paced life (not to mention six-figure salary) as a Merrill Lynch stockbroker behind to chase his dream of, well, shouting about sports on the radio. He eventually went from paying for airtime to being in hot demand. It seemed like there were not enough hours in a day to broadcast his booming catchphrase: “OUT OF THE GATE… IT’S JT THE BRICK! SOUND OFF LIKE YOU’VE GOT A PAIR!” But the transformation did not happen by itself. Tournour owes much of his success to his close friend and mentor, Andrew Ashwood, who first called a young, boundlessly energetic JT during his show at 3 a.m. and promptly sent him his playbook, a spiral-bound, loose-leaf notebook full of tips and tricks for a budding sports talk radio host. So, after years of priceless advice and an even more priceless friendship, Tournour’s most difficult challenge would come when Ashwood was diagnosed with cancer.
sports talk radio personality Jt the brick goes beyond the screaming fans and pre-game tailgates to share how he learned his most important lessons: not from a playbook, but from watching his close friend fight cancer and demonstrate what it means to live with purpose and die with dignity.

GOVERNMENT BULLIES How Everyday Americans are Being Harassed, Abused, and Imprisoned by the Feds SENATOR Rand Paul Foreword by Ron Paul
Adam Ted Dekker
Now in paperback, United States Senator Rand Paul’s investigation into out-of-control government regulations. Mothers arrested for buying raw milk. Farmers restrained from moving dirt on their own property. Families fined for selling bunny rabbits without a license. As Senator Rand Paul sees it, government regulation and bureaucratic red tape are running amok in Washington, and honest taxpaying citizens are the victims of an administration’s misuse and abuse of power. Now, Rand Paul, the senator from Kentucky, takes an in-depth look at the recent legislation that is strangling the ability of ordinary citizens’ rights to conduct the most common, everyday activities without nosy government interference. He highlights outrageous searches, seizures and arrests, and points to thousands of regulations that have been added to the books since Obama took office. Most importantly, he points to a direction out of this mess, and toward renewed freedom for all Americans.
