StreetFest is back in Manchester By Ellen Ricks
Theater continues in Vermont By Ellen Ricks The leaves are turning, there’s a chill in the air, and that means it’s that magical time for year: autumn, when many fun theater events come to Vermont. First up in Manchester, the Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning will offer the screening of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf ?” from National Theatre Live at Burr and Burton Academy’s Riley Center for the Arts on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m. The Nation Theatre Live broadcasts the best of British theatre to cinemas
all around the world. “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf ? is about a toxic husband and wife who invite a younger married couple to their home on campus for some after-dinner drinks as things begin to spiral out of control until the truth comes out. Burr and Burton Academy is located at 57 Seminary Avenue in Manchester. Tickets are $18, $12 for seniors and $9 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at bbatickets. com. Next the Dorset Players, a local non-profit community

The Bank of Bennington is celebrating its 100th anniversary with cupcakes and there’ll be desserts from Nana Kay’s and cotton candy available for all. The Manchester Streetfest is for people only, so leave your furry, four-legged friends at home. Parking is available in the municipal lot behind Rite Aid and at the Manchester Elementary Middle School. The streetfest is sponsored by local businesses and the taxpayers of Manchester.
