When once asked if God was on the Union soldiers’ side of the war, Lincoln’s answered with another question, asking whether they were on God’s side. The special service will be followed by a lunch featuring several of Lincoln’s favorite foods, including egg and corn bread, New Orleans chicken curry over rice and nutmeg donuts. The lunch will be prepared by the Ladies Aid Society. This is a free community event. All are invited.
