Open year round There is a reason why State Line Flea Market refers to two states, New York and Vermont. State Line is located in Whitehall, but on Route 18, just off Route 4, is quite near the New York and Vermont border. Owned and operated by Erika Foy, State Line opened in May 2011 in the for mer OTB/Paddock Restaurant building. It boasts 5,500 square-feet of space filled with furniture, collectibles, antiques, tools, books, household items and more. Foy is a longtime professional in the real estate dispersal business “via auction, real estate sales and other venues,” she said. She wondered why the building she recently occupied was
vacant for more than 10 years, since its location is convenient and it commands “high visibility from Route 4.” Foy is counting on that high visibility since State Line is her first largescale wholesale-retail outlet in the North Country area. “The unique aspect of State Line,” she said, “Is that I personally select and deliver weekly truckloads of fresh-to-the-market merchandise from the southern counties of New York State.” State Line is open year round, each Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Foy reports receiving a “growing cadre of weekly buyers eager to discover what treasures have newly arrived.”
