Rotary Club of Bombay Kandivli (RCBK) is dedicated to serving the community and making a positive impact on the environment. As part of their ongoing project, Project Green Fingers, the club recently donated two electric vehicles to th Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) on 27 March'23. The event was attended by Officers & Staff of National Park, Assistant Governor Rtn Girish Waingankar and members of RCBK.

RCBK launched Project Green Fingers in the Rotary Year 2021-22, and it has been a strategic multi-year project of the club ever since. The project aims to promote sustainable development and environmental conservation in the community. This donation of electric vehicles to SGNP is part of this effort to make a positive impact on the environment.

The electric vehicles will be used by the staff at SGNP for various purposes such as patrolling, maintenance, and other necessary work in the park. By using electric vehicles, the park can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.

RCBK received CSR funding from M/S CelibiNAS Airport Services Pvt Ltd for this project. Rtn Laxman Prasad played a crucial role in arranging the fund for this project, and the club is grateful for his contribution.

The donation ceremony was followed by a tour of the Cat Orientation Centre and Taxidermy Centre of SGNP for those who attended the event. It was an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the park's conservation efforts and understand the importance of environmental conservation.

RCBK takes pride in the success of Project Green Fingers and is committed to continuing its efforts towards environmental conservation. PP Rtn Prakash Pradhan conceptualized this project, and Rtn Kiran Rakhe, Chairman of Green Fingers project, put in significant effort to make this project a grand success. Their contributions and efforts are much appreciated by the club.

Overall, the donation of electric vehicles to SGNP is a significant step towards promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation. RCBK hopes to inspire others to take similar steps towards creating a cleaner and greener future for the community.
