A temporary pop-vup shop for the brand famous for its denim wear. Inspiration comes from their office complex in San Francisco, which inspired from water elements and Sierra Nevada mountains.

Study of the connection of curved tubes (curved steel circular hollow section with diameter 193.7mm in reality), possible solution is a customized joint welded or bolted, that can fix beams together in the right position.

The pavilion is designed to provide fun and educational knowledge to the visitors, accoding to one of the main topics of 2020 Dubai Expo- sustainability. Information regarding hydroponic vegetations are demonstrated along with the spiral staircase which leads to the slide. There are hydroponic plants also displayed around the staircases. The materials are mainly in bamboo.

A hook that fixed with the subtube which is the connection of main bamboo tube to the metal plate will held another small section of metal tube inside the horizontal bamboo tube.

AN INDIVUDUAL PROJECT

ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER A SMALL E X H IBIT IO N F O R B R U N O MU R AN I ' S W O RK S

The project is an exhibition cube with dimension 3.6m x 4.6m x 4.4m. Inside the cube, three art works by Bruno Murani's are exhibited. Those three art works each have different meaning and characterisitcs, as a result, the challenges of this project is to utilize well the limited space, but at the same time reinforce the charateristics of each works. The entrance is a narrow corridor, with slope which encounter the work "Chair for briest visit", which looks like a chair with sloping seat. To emphasize the sloping seat, a spotlight has been displaced. Another slope has been designed in order to correspond the slope of the chair. Visitors could sit on the slope with the chair to appreciate another work "Useless Machine".

3.6 m

"Useless Machine" is best to be displaced by hanging from the roof. With the spotlight and air flow, the work creats different shadows on the wall, visitors can perceive different results from different angel and distance.

The project is located in Milano, close to Crocetta neighborhood. It is a wealthy area, as a result, most of the residentss here are traditional middle class family. Our aim is to fit different types of family nucleus into one of the apartment unit inside this building. Considering privacy between different nucleus in their own rooms, and also comfort levels of the common area. Having their own bathrooms inside their rooms is one of the requests. Their room has been designed not only as a traditional bedroom, but also a leisure space. Outside their room, there are leisure space such as library, kitchen, living room and balconies.

Commercial - Surrounding the site, different commercial activities provide leisure for local residents and also increase attraction to the neighborhood.

A pre-ATM tram depot that will soon be abandoned in east-north of Milan is the site of this project. The massive depot structure has created a barrier for the neighnorhood, and how do we transform it into a residential block that attract different residents from the city is the issue discussed in this project.

Residential - 17 apartments form a community of shared apartment.

From the beginning considering from urban point of view, creating a more charming, attracting and comfortable neighborhood for local residents, until later developing detailing which focus on residential complex blocks that delicate to elderly, disabled and family freindly apartments. Site Area: 50,000 sqm

Distribution of typologies

In this project, the main aim is to study the proper designed space that also provide comfortable living quality for elderly and disable people. I chose to design co-living space for them as nowadays the need of co-living space has been increased due to several social aspects such as single rate, growing percentage of elderly people.. etc. I​ created 2 types of co-living space that is comfortable for all kinds of habitants. Each of them has a subtype. The original design process was according to grid which is 5m x 5m each.  ​What was important in my design: 1. Each space has at least one side has windows in order to provide sun light, air ventilation, and pleasure space.  2. Several common space has been created withint one apartment, in order to provide intimate-public area for habitants.  3. Bathroom's functions are separated, to avoid crowd and sanitary level. 4. Each room and corridor are all correspond the standard design for elderly/ disable people.

A GRO U P P R O JE C T

A NINE CUBES HOUSE This project is a house whcih originally derived from a combination of nine cubes. Each cube's dimension is 3m x 3m x 3m. Through three steps as diagrams bellow, the shape of the house has been develpoed. By rotating the cubes, different angles has been created in the interior space. Applying openings on different angles provide variety views for habitants. The house is designed as a mobile house, which could be build in different environment. SECTION AA

Mountain Scene Im a g i n i n g p l a c i n g t h e h o u s e o n t h e mountain with a small canyon, the nineth cube play as an outdoor small pool. A stair case has been created, which lead visitors to the pool.

The contrary of house's smooth surface with the rocks' rough material is the characteristic here. The reference is the Leça Swimming Pools by à lvaro Siza.

The building was a former colonia that used as children’s summer holiday camp. It was built during the facist era of Italy, and designed in the rationlist architectural style. The colonia locates in the countryside close to Genova, which surrounded by hills and forests. On top of the roof there is nice view with landscape of hills and greenary.

AN IN T E R NSH IP 2 0 1 4 S U MME R I N TAI N AN , TAI W A N

TS DESIGN I have a bachelor degree in Life Sciences, however I always felt that I would like to study architecture. During the fourth year in the university, I did an erasmus in Germany and started to travel around Europe. I was in love with the history and architecture in European countries. After graduated from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, I applied for an internship in a studio in my city Tainan before studying in Politecnico di Milano. I wanted to make sure that obtaining another degree in architecture is the right decision, and I think doing internship is the best way to see. Luckily there was this architect Yuan-Hung Chao very kindly let me do internship for three months in his studio. At the beginning it was hard for me as I did not have formal education in architecture. However I found myself enjoy the work. My job was designing with physical models in the initial stage of projects: possible volume shape, interior space, and furniture as well. Three of my works were realized, one is a small and narrow house that just built two years ago, the other one is a private suburb house which is underconstruction, and last one was a fixed bookshelf in a luxury apartment.
