Pete’s Patch: Growth has come to Hagerman whether we want it or not! In the past 3-4 years, I have watched property and home values increase substantially. Hagerman has so much to offer. The Hagerman Valley list of amenities are long and impressive. From the artesian hot water pools, to some of the best hunting in the state. In the summer we have the beautiful snake river for water skiing and fishing. The fishing is some of the best in the state. In the winter, the duck hunting is unbelievable. We also have world class hunting clubs you can join. I can go on and on. One thing the city of Hagerman and the merchants need to start looking into is an LID - Local Improvement District. An LID is a form of financing through the city that provides property owners an economical way to pay the construction costs of upgrading the utilities and/or infrastructure. We need to doll up main street, lighting, planters, electrical services, etc. The city of Buhl is a good example. Let’s get going and finish the job! - Pete Weir Former Hagerman City Mayor
