CALCIO COMO a small miracle happened A
f ter the problems that af fected Calcio Como last summer, many things were at risk among them also the precious youth teams. With the new club and the most reliable sponsors, which always supported the youth teams, something was saved. Also thanks to some persons, such as Sergio Marelli, Como can keep it up at high levels: “It wasn’t easy, we made a small miracle happen. Today we have 8 teams with 125 players and af ter ever ything that happened, I have to thank the families the players who put their trust in us. We had their support and we are happy that we can do our best to pay them back ”.
Then Marelli stressed the importance of the main goals in the youth sector: “Our priorit y is to educate the guys to be men first and then soccer players. The dif ference between coaches and educators is this one. The parents know that our goal is to have “great ” men, who respect each other. We are proud of the fact that af ter the bankruptcy many guys stayed and shared this project with us. We have to thank them because despite ever ything we are also obtaining good results on the field. This happened because we kept a high level of coaches and this makes the big dif ference”.
