: ½ cup : 2 cups : 4 tablespoons : 1 teaspoon : 1 tablespoon

Preparation 1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour (maida), corn flour and baking soda thoroughly using a spoon. 2. Sieve this mixture at least twice or thrice and make the mixture even. 3. Pre heat the oven to 175 degrees centigrade. 4. Mix curd and powdered sugar in a bowl and stir well. Add baking powder to this mixture. 5. Beat butter and condensed milk to this mixture for 2 – 3 minutes. 6. Mix in the yogurt now and beat the mixture again. 7. Now pour the flour mixture to this and beat it carefully. Add the vanilla extract now. Make sure there are no lumps. 8. Beat until the mixture becomes uniform. Use a whisk or hand mixer to get a good batter. 9. Do not over beat the mixture and make the batter stiff and hard. 10. Transfer the batter to a cake tin and bake for 45 minutes. 11. Insert a toothpick after 45 minutes and see if it comes out clean. 12. Allow the cake to cool down and transfer it to a plate for frosting.
