~ Pistil (to be inserted inward) ~
When the petal is folded from 12 cm (4 5/8") square paper, the pistil should be made from 7.5 cm (2 7/ 8") square paper.
The appropriate size of paper for "pistil" is 7.5 em square paper. You may use a quarter of paper of the petal, but it will barely come out of the petals.
Dent the center and assemble on the creases.
Insert the eight pleats of pistil into the eight pleats of petals.
Make 18 of this flower.
Stand the eight pleats evenly.
