We take action for our planet through tree planting and carbon offsetting. The term Carbon Offsetting gets thrown around a lot these days, but what does it actually mean? Simply put, it’s a way of balancing out the carbon emissions we produce by investing in projects that reduce carbon in the atmosphere. Ecologi make it easy for businesses to take action for our planet through tree planting, renewable energy and conservation projects. They are also transparent about the impact of their projects, so we know exactly where our money is going and how it’s making a difference. Ethy is an independent organisation that assesses the environmental and social impact of companies, using a rigorous set of criteria. Getting verified by Ethy is no small feat but we are so proud to have achieved it on our three month anniversary of Click Style’s launch. For us, it shows our customers we are serious about being environmentally responsible and not just greenwashing! It’s great to feel good about doing our part for the planet, however, there are business benefits for sustainability too. Customers these days are looking for companies that are socially and environmentally responsible. They want to support businesses that care about the world we live in. 36
By partnering with Ecologi and Ethy, we are showing our customers that we don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk too. When launching Click Style we felt strongly about trying our best to do the right thing from the outset. We are a brand new business, or as we like to call ourselves ‘an embryo business’, but we are already working towards our Sustainable Development Goals for the future. Being a sustainable business isn’t always easy. There are challenges we face every day, from sourcing materials to shipping products. We believe that the benefits of being sustainable far outweigh the challenges. We are not alone, more and more businesses are realising that sustainability isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a musthave.
