The analysis element Analysis instruments from analytical solutions providers FOSS are a central part of the push towards quality. One of the instruments employed or in the process of being acquired for several new sites is the MilkoScan™ FT2. The FT2 measures a wide range of constituents such as fat, protein, sugars in dairy products and offers particularly high measurement accuracy, allowing precision in production and reduced costs on raw materials. Russian milk consumption Market researchers estimate that consumption of milk-based products in Russia is around 230 litres per person per year and that 93 per cent of Russians regularly buy milk. The huge investment now being made by Unimilk looks to support that demand and not just with quantity, but with quality across the entire continent. n
