Pinterest. Hello, I founded Oblivious after graduating from Leeds College of Art in 2016. My degree was in fashion design and realisation. During the three you course we learnt about new methods of design, and had a huge Instagram. focus on a hand craftsmanship around the fashion industry. As well as learning about different theorise to do with all creative pathways. Sustainability was also a key topic throughout are course. It was important to consider a more ethical way to make our Issuu. creations. I found the idea of consumption levels fascinating and like the challenge of trying to improve something. My dissertation was titled ‘How has fast fashion made us keep consuming even though we are Twitter. aware of the true cost?’ Drew upon facts, lifestyle and the future of fashion. With this new knowledge I created my first collection that’s main aim was to tell a story about how consumption levels have effect are wardrobes. This was translated through textiles sample that depicted are clothing decaying away. Although this collection is thought provoking it is also promoting an ethical approach to fashion design in the fabrics used and ‘slow’ methods of construction. From this collection the idea for waste fabric bags was formed in the hope to get other brands/ designer on board to reduce waste. This small idea will hopefully be a platform for better things in the future which will create a more sustainable way of manufacturing clothing. You can help continue this journey simply by investing into one of are piece will support a more ethical future and provide funding for other projects. Equally you could join us by giving us your own knowledges and experience to help develop new and exciting projects that help other society as well as are own.
