MM – Comment est né ce projet de création d’une galerie d’art? FF - Mon père était collectionneur. A son contact et au travers de nos voyages d’expatriation, il est logique que je le sois devenu à mon tour. Singapour, Algérie, Tunisie, ces différentes destinations m’ont permis d’être sensibilisé aux autres cultures et j’ai été fasciné par les arts de ces pays dans lesquels j’ai vécu. Au fil du temps, ma collection est devenue trop importante et mes goûts ont évolué. Il fallait que je fasse de la place! En 2009, l’idée d’ouvrir une galerie s’est donc imposée. Mes enfants ont été intégrés au projet, eux-mêmes ayant été sensibilisés aux charmes de l’art, tout comme mon père l’avait fait pour moi pendant l’enfance.

MM - How did the project of creating an art gallery originate? FF - My dad was a collector. Through contact with him and as we travelled around for his expat r iat ion, I beca me a col lector mysel f. Singapore, Algeria, Tunisia: these different destinations allowed me to develop my sensitivity to other cultures. I was fascinated by the art of the countries where I lived. Over time, my collection became too big and my tastes changed. I needed to make room! In 2009, the idea of opening a gallery took hold of me. My children were included in the project. I raised their awareness to the beauty of art, just like my father did for me when I was a child.
