Talking about Dodge can be a never ending discussion as it carries the ultimate history of itself. History of SRT 4: The original concept of Neon SRT was a 2.0 L 16-valve four-cylinder topped with a 45cubic-inch Eaton supercharger, which produced 208 hp (155 kW) and 180 lb·ft (240 N·m) of torque at the flywheel on 11 psi (0.76 bar) of boost and so the production SRT-4 was introduced in 2003. This was the second fastest car in the Dodge lineup that time. The SRT-4’s entire power train that is Engine, Transmission, Suspension, Exhaust, Braking system, Tires & a small portion of interior were upgraded from the base model neon. The car also featured side skirts, a unique rear fascia, large rear wing, and model-specific 17x6 inch wheels. Under the hood: There was a turbocharged 2.4 L inline-4 gasoline engine. As the car is basically a mixture of different models so the engine is nearly identical to the Chrysler PT Cruiser GT (A855 Engine) Interiorly: The front seats feature the most complemented support for a excellent performance driving, and a faux carbon fiber steering wheel, shift boot, and satin silver "cue ball" shift knob were used. The gauges had special SRT faces and silver rings matching those on the climate controls. An Auto-Meter brand boost gauge was used as well. The most unique feature introduced in the car as per the recent times were the automatic front windows but the rear windows carries the manual operation. Almost everything has an exciting history behind it and so does every car. Every make of a car has its own history which gets more exciting when one studies it carefully.
