New items These are pretty special.

Numanthia-Termes Toro Termes 2006 $30.00 Wine Spectator 93 Muscular yet expressive, this red offers roasted plum, bitter chocolate, tobacco and hot stone notes. Thick, with rich, ripe tannins and just enough acidity to keep it lively. Best from 2010 through 2020. April 2009

Newton Chardonnay Napa County Unfiltered 2006 $60.00 Not reviewed. Yet. Previous scores from Robert Parker: 2001 – 94; 2002 – 96; 2003 – 95; 2005 – 96

Perrin & Fils Gigondas La Gille 2005 $30.00 Wine Spectator 93 Top 100 of 2008 #39 Dark and smoky, with alluring cocoa powder, mesquite and bacon fat notes leading the way for rich black currant, melted licorice and espresso. The long, smoldering finish shows a nice wild side. Impressive now, but better with some cellaring. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now through 2014. September 2008

Perrin & Fils Vacqueyras Les Christins 2006 $33.00 Wine Spectator 91 Very racy, with lots of red and black currant fruit backed by a great graphite spine. Offers nice hints of licorice, spice and iron on the finish. Drink now through 2012. June 2008

Andrew Will Champoux Vineyard 2006 $64.00 Robert Parker 93 The 2006 Champoux Vineyard, a source of some of Washington’s finest old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon (as well as the principal component of Quilceda Creek’s renowned Cabernet) is purple-colored with an impressive display of smoky black fruits, pencil lead, and earth notes. On the palate, it is intense, rich, and layered with the structure and balance for a decade of evolution. This powerful effort should drink well from 2015 to 2030. June 2008 The 2005 vintage of this wine was Number 25 in the Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2008

Andrew Will Sorella 2006 $75.00 Wine Spectator 95 Tight, focused and distinctive, this sharp-edged wine shows ripe currant, spice, tobacco and coffee flavors that sneak up on you. They start slow but swirl through the mildly grippy tannins into a long, expressive finish, making for a beautifully compact and complex wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2011 through 2018. May 2009
