1st Quarter Newsletter 1st Local General Assembly The 2018 First General Assembly of JCI Tamale Premier was held at the Nim Avenue hotel on 17th February 2018. The lovely event was attended by 24 old, new and potential members in what was a very engaging session, with presentations from members of the 2018 board. The 2018 Local Treasurer Ali Abraham was sworn in by the Local President Frederick Nuuri-Teg before the house continued deliberations for the day. Senator John Stephen Agbenyo, a past president himself, delivered a compelling presentation about the 2018 JCI Global Partnership summit, encouraging members to endeavour to participate to experience JCI at the global level.

Save a Life: H1N1 Sensitization As Part of our Save a Life Project we facilitated an educational session on H1N1 Flu virus (Swine Flu) for young people in Senior High Schools (SHS) in the Tamale Metropolis. The Local organization also took the opportunity to educate the young people about JCI and encouraged them to “Be Better� students and citizens. It is imperative that as a local organization we use our influence and reach to offer public health education to these young people to help prevent another outbreak of the deadly flu in schools and communities around the country.

embarked on a memorable trip to the Mole National Park on 6th March 2018 to celebrate Ghana’s 61st Independence. It was a beautiful experience with the passionate young men and women of JCI Tamale Premier. The team travelled, went on safari, took photos together and shared food as part of the trip.

1st Quarter Newsletter My Next Step JCI Tamale Premier partnered with Step Up Ghana to organize the "My Next Step" special guidance programme for over 400 final year Senior High School students in

the Tamale Metropolis and Sagnarigu District at the Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO) Assembly Hall. Local President Frederick Nuuri-Teg delivered a powerful introduction of JCI to the students and admonished them to strive to be the best they can be and avoid shortcuts to achieving their goals. He motivated the students to put up their best in the upcoming West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and challenged them to pursue their education to the highest level possible.

1st National General Assembly JCI Tamale Premier hosted the 2018 First National General Assembly which took place at the luxurious Nim Avenue hotel, Tamale on Friday 24th March 2018. Local Organizations and partners from across the country were in attendance to participate and deliberate on the National Organization’s agenda and strategy going into 2018.
