Inflatable SUP - built with passion

Why? At Red Paddle Co we believe in challenging the status quo. We believe that everyone who wants to paddleboard should be able to,

regardless of transport or storage constraints. We believe that buying an inflatable board should not be a compromise. In fact we believe more people will own an inflatable board than a hard board in the years to come. If you live in a city apartment or choose to walk to the water rather than drive, you should have access to great equipment without compromising on performance, looks or quality. That was our vision from day 1. What an amazing ride it has been so far. We’ve learnt a lot, we’ve made mistakes, we’ve made discoveries but most of all we have enjoyed every second of it. The fact that SUP has grown in this time is just fantastic. Even if it hadn’t, we would still be out there paddling and having a lot of fun and that is why we do what we do - we love SUP. The new Red Paddle Co range of products are built to deliver the very highest level of inflatable board performance. They are incredibly stiff, can withstand high pressures and are more portable than ever. Without doubt they are the best boards we have ever built. We have focused on what matters most with inflatable boards - stiffness, inflation pressures and transportation. We only make inflatable boards. Over the next few pages you can learn all about the 2013 range of Red Paddle Co products. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

Rocker Stiffening System Rockets for your board Inflatable SUP - built with passion

The detail that matters

Patent Pending

Tec Air is not a product, it’s a process. We looked at how we built boards, and by focusing in on the key areas of the production process, we have been able to refine each process to make the boards even better. All Red Paddle Co boards are made using our Tec Air specification to ensure the best possible build quality.

RSS - By looking at how and where a board flexes we have developed and patented the Rocker Stiffening System to increase rigidity. It works by inserting stiffening strips (Rockets) along the rails of the board. This works against the downward force of the rider to produce a stiffer board. The rockets are removable for easy board rolling and can be stored in the carry bag.

The key areas of construction are inside the board. Our attention to detail on the inside ensures a perfect product on the outside.

The RSS system can be found on select models in the 2013 range. Look out for the RSS logo on the page.

The 2013 board is wider in the tail to give better stability. The rest of the board remains the same with the much loved wide nose and 32” mid point width. 3 super tough fins.

- Central logo stiffening strip - New high pressure valve

We have increased the thickness from 100mm to 120mm. This increases stiffness while not affecting the ride and performance of this iconic board.

- New carry pack - front loading, comfortable to carry - Board size printed on tail and nose for easy ID. - Built using Red Tec Air specification

The 120mm thickness means that the rider can obtain greater stiffness at lower pressure. The 120mm board is more than 40% stiffer than a 100mm board at the same pressure. We still recommend the more pressure the better.

Board thickness explained 100mm

120mm

150mm

100mm thickness is perfect for boards with a surf orientation. The thinner rails make for betterInflatable control on SUP the wave face and while paddling out. Combined with the Patent Pending RSS system we are able to offer the stiffest boards in class with the best performance. No other inflatable board performs as well in the surf as a 100mm Red board with the RSS system. Used on 9’2”, 9’6” and 10’ models.

- built with passion

120mm thickness is exclusive to Red Paddle Co and is the perfect combination of stiffness and control for all round shapes. Combined with our inflatable specific nose and tail designs we have been able to produce the stiffest boards for this size. 120mm allows the rider to keep a low centre of gravity while achieving exceptional stiffness. Used on 10’6” and 10’8” models.

150mm thickness is perfect for non surfing shapes. It gives great stiffness and means the Explorer board has enough volume to carry a lot of equipment or in the case of the 12’6” Red Race it makes the board float high to reduce drag in racing conditions. Add the Red RSS system to the Race board and you have the stiffest board anyone has ever produced.

Fins

Inflatable SUP - built with passion

The best choice We have tested every system currently available and even developed fin systems of our own to find the best system. Noting comes close to our tried and tested iFin system. Zero warranty requests since we started using the system mean that we remain confident that it is the best option. No tools, replacements or spares are needed for the iFin system - it won’t fail. All other fin systems either require a tool or a separate fin box to be attached to the board. This leads to much higher failure rates and un happy customers. Our new backpack avoids fin bend during transport and our attention to fin positioning mean our fins work perfectly. The centre fin is now directly over the valve position so the “bump” caused by the valve is no longer present. Nose and Tail fin runners on our Explorer and Race designs allow for much better tracking while not increasing drag or weed collection - vital in close racing.

Rails

Inflatable SUP - built with passion

The Rail Truth

The rail is the weakest point on an inflatable board. It is where all layers meet and it’s where air pressure loading is at it’s highest. While almost all brands have one layer rails. All Red Paddle Co boards have 4 layers of taping on the rails making them the strongest boards available. Our Tec Air process ensures that the seam joins are exact and built to withstand very high pressures. There is no risk of puncture during use, so riders can paddle far from home without fear of a failure.
