Scotland Collected featuring Selected Works From the Elphinstone Family Collection | Auction August 19 & 20 2026
The auction begins with Scottish ceramics, led by Wemyss Ware, before moving through works of art, hardstone jewellery and whisky. The second day features Scottish silver, followed by arms and armour, showcasing Scotland's long tradition of exceptional craftsmanship.
At its heart are two important private collections. An Important Private Collection of Jacobite Works of Art, assembled over more than twenty years, includes portrait miniatures, medallions, engraved glass, manuscripts and other rare objects that illuminate the personalities, politics and legacy of the Jacobite cause. Alongside it, Selected Works from the Elphinstone Family Collection offers portraits and works of art connected with one of Scotland's oldest noble families, tracing their story from William Elphinstone, founder of King's College, Aberdeen, through generations linked to the Jacobite cause and the Battle of Waterloo.
