We have had a good deal of sadness in our Church since the joyous celebration of last Easter but, with God’s help, we can have new life and new hope and, as Jesus died and rose again for us, we too can rise again soon. This joyful Eastertide Away with sin and sorrow! My love, the Crucified Has sprung to life this morrow. Had Christ, that once was slain Ne’er burst His three day prison, Our faith had been in vain; But now is Christ arisen! May I wish you all a very happy Easter. Margaret

SECRETARY'S NOTES APRIL 2011 We look forward to Easter at the end of this month. Just a reminder that the Lent Lunches and Services continue on Thursdays in St. Thomas' hall. We are organising both on the 7th. Please come and enjoy our excellent home-made soup, meet people from other Churches and contribute to Christian Aid. The Lent Course continues in The Open Door Cafe on Wednesdays at 2.30 p.m. Easter weekend is a little different this year. There will be a simple Communion Service at 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday. The Good Friday Service will take place in the Forecourt, if it's fine> and will be organised by the Baptist Church. This will be our act of witness as Churches Together to the town as there will NOT be a Walk of Witness to the Quay this year. If it is wet/ we will be at the Baptist Church. On Easter Day the Elders have accepted an invitation from the Methodist Church to join them at All Saints. Communion will be included in the Worship, which will be led by Rev'd. Roger Gisborne, 3
