Mile after mile, Bike MS is a ride like no other. Together we build lifelong connections, achieve individual and collective milestones, and help those living with MS move their lives forward. Every mile we ride and every dollar we raise make a difference to the 2.3 million people living with MS. It’s not the miles- it’s the unforgettable journey. Join us for an event that’s more than a ride- it’s anticipation, camaraderie, accomplishment and the knowledge that you’re changing lives, making every mile that much sweeter. Bring your passion and bike – we’ll take care of the rest! From team building support to treats like sno-cones and energy bars, we know you’ll see the difference. And there’s nothing like crossing the finish line and celebrating with your team. There’s still time to sign up to be on the CHEER SQUAD for Buckeye Breakaway! Provide your support as riders come through your area!

FUNdraiser Tip:

Check out this awesome fundraiser event! Ales for Angie Dive Bar- Cleveland, OH- June 25, 2015

Cliff Powell’s wife, Angela, was diagnosed with MS this past March. As a way to support her, he began to fundraise for MS events. His sister-in-law started a t-shirt fundraiser, where they sold 117 shirts and raised $1,750 to donate to their Walk MS team (Team Powell). Overall, Team Powell raised over $5000 at Walk MS Cleveland!

After Walk MS, Cliff started to focus on Bike MS Buckeye Breakaway. Team Powell has committed to the 30 mile ride. Cliff created a happy hour fundraiser called “Ales for Angie.” Over 50 people attended the happy hour event. The event was $20 and attendees received a food buffet and all you can drink beer, wine, and well drinks. Half of the proceeds went to the Dive Bar and half went to Team Powell to help riders with their donations for Bike MS. There was also a 50/50 raffle that included donated prizes. The person who won the money (Virgil Marshment, in the green shirt in the pictures) donated the winnings back! The sponsors for prizes were Hard Rock Cafe Cleveland, The Dive Bar, and ESPN Cleveland. Altogether, this event raised over $900 for Team Powell! Cliff and his team plan to make this an annual event for their fundraising!

Did your team host an awesome fundraiser event? Share it with us! Send your event information and pictures to your Event Coordinators Samantha Marchal & Scott Sherwood! And look for it to be featured in an upcoming Spoke Notes issue!
