MIS fi rst SIO firs N
The Mission First Club provides an opportunity for you to direct funds, that would be spent on prizes, back to our mission. People affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever. By generously donating your Walk MS prize back to the chapter, your gift will help us to continue to live our mission, deliver quality programs and services to Ohioans affected by MS. Because of your support, the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National MS Society currently has 24 researchers working on 25 research projects within our 64-county service area. We cannot thank you enough for helping us fund critical research projects that are moving us closer to a world free of MS! We needed your help and you didn’t dissappoint! Among our 17 walks we had 480 total volunteers who dedicated 1,888 hours to the cause!
THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!
Our events would not be possible without the help of our volunteers! The Ohio Buckeye Chapter hosted 17 successful walks in 2015. Each was successful because of the volunteers who took time out of their weekends to support us all in the fight to end multiple sclerosis. The 2015 Walk MS season might be over but the fight isn’t. We still don’t have a cure for MS, so let’s keep raising awareness! Keep fundraising! Walk MS is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to inspire others to join the fight against MS and to show our support to those living each day with the unpredictability of MS. We hope that everyone who participated was able to take away from the event as much as you gave to it. Whether it be new friends, renewed strength, or hope for the future. Together, we made a bold declaration: A world free of MS is inevitable when we work together.
Walk MS connects people living with MS and those who care about them. When you participate in this community event, the funds you raise give hope to more than 2.3 million people living with MS worldwide. We’ve been walking since 1988 and to date have raised more than $870 million to support life changing programs and cutting-edge research. We are in the planning stages for Walk MS 2016! Be on the lookout for 2016 dates soon!
