As part of his ongoing commitment to the community that nurtured him, Guyton started the Hinesville Youth Sports Festival to recognize the academic and athletic achievements of youth, while offering them a chance to train with a professional athlete. The 2 nd annual event kicks off Friday, March 11 th, with “Friday Fun Night,” where kids, parents, fans, and sponsors mix, mingle, get autographs and take pictures with Guyton and his NFL friends. Additionally, there will be a “Celebrity VS Teachers Basketball Game,” featuring Guyton, as well as other athletes and entertainers; fans will get a chance to see good sportsmanship at its best. The evening will end with a special celebrity dinner at Doodles of Hinesville. Saturday, March 12th, is the “Saturday Free Youth Sports Camp,” which will teach participants (noncontact) football and cheerleading skills for multiple aptitude levels. Kids will have a chance to interact with Guyton and other NFL athletes and test their agility, catching, and passing skills, or participate on the sidelines, learning the ins and outs of tumbling, pyramids, and pumping up a crowd. Offering this free clinic for the kids of Hinesville is a dream come true for this NFL play maker. “This is my opportunity to give back to the kids in the community that inspired and pushed me,” states Guyton. “This year I will spend more time just talking to the kids...discussing life choices, the importance of choosing friends wisely and understanding the world is bigger that our immediate surroundings.” The clinic has already reached a registration in excess of 200; the total is expected to reach 250-300, exceeding the approximately 200 participants who registered last year. As an added bonus, kids who have made the A & B honor roll and bring their report card to the clinic will receive a special certificate of achievement signed by Guyton and his NFL friends. 2nd Annual Gary Guyton Hinesville Youth Sports Festival Itinerary at A Glance: Friday, March 11 th
