Greetings, Key Clubbers!
Thank you for your services and for all the donations we have received these past weeks from our joint club donations. You're doing more than just donating items. You're showing those who are in need that people do care, and that gives them hope. Sometimes hope is just what people need. Your volunteer work makes such a difference in many ways. Thank you so much for your dedication, and your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed.
A quick reminder, don’t forget to submit your monthly volunteer hours on our Key Club website by the end of each month so your hard work can be recognized! Whenever you are volunteering, make sure to take pictures and send them to me at editor@keyclub.org, or you can also DM us your photos on our Instagram page for a chance to be featured in our monthly newsletter and Instagram page!
If you haven’t had the chance to volunteer this month, keep an eye out for more volunteering opportunities. I will be posting as much as I can on the Instagram page. You can also find volunteer opportunities on our Key Club website. As always, "do every act of your life as if it were your last." You are appreciated.
Yours is Friendship and Service,

Hiur year with a movie social at the with a blast. Congratulations to J m so excited to see what Joseph has in store for us in the future. As we ve been working on our “Service Unpacked Project,” we have successfully donated loads of coats and jackets to the Tulsa Day Center between Key Club, NHS, SNHS, and Pre Med! Let’s take a moment to pat ourselves on the back. For this month, we are hosting one of my favorite drives: Products for Points! I’m so excited to see how much our members along with NHS, SNHS, Pre Med, and Women’s Empowerment Club donate towards combating period poverty in our community! As you may know, any pads/tampons donated will go towards Red Equity Oklahoma, a local nonprofit based in Tulsa combating period poverty through distribution of period packages to local partners like Youth Services of Tulsa, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Kerr Elementary, and Booker T. Washington. Right now, we are in the works of planning an Assembly Day with Red Equity OK at Jenks to give our members hands on experience on how their contributions go from donations to period packages.

JENKS
Hello Key Clubbers,
I just wanted to reach out to the amazing hardworking volunteers that make Key Club the fantastic organization it is. Your role as a volunteer today will impact our communities today, and give you a lifelong feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Volunteering in the medical world will not only get you important connections it will also help you majorly help your society, especially in wake of the Covid 19 pandemic. A quick heads up, around the holidays we will probably have a few major events. The biggest events we will probably have this year are joint fundraising probably with the Pre Med Society to raise money for hospitals and other medical institutions. Volunteers will be needed for that as well. In addition, this year we will start major partnerships with Saint Francis and Grace Hospice. Volunteering opportunities will come out shortly for those.

SOCIAL CHAIR
Hey Key Clubbers,
I'm Sofie Carter! I'm the Socials Board Member this year. Every month we have a social event to celebrate and hang out with all of our members as a club. You also get 1/2 hour for going to socials! A lot of times, our volunteering is very individual, so we like to have one fun event that we can all come to together!! I am responsible for planning these social events, with this in mind, please reach out if there's anything you want to do! We host our social events for you guys, so one of my priorities is making sure you guys are doing what you want to do! These past two months we have done movie night at the Philbrook and gone to Carmichaels Pumpkin Patch. If there's something you or your friends are interested in doing or going to for a social, please let us know, we would love to try to make that happen!! Sometimes we do polls on our instagram, too, so make sure to follow that so we can get your input on any potential social ideas!! You can reach me through my email at sofie.carter95@jenksms.com I'm excited to have a great year with you guys, I know it'll be a good one!
FAITHBASED
Hello Key Clubbers! I am Mi’Lea Tackett and I am the faith based board member for the 2022 2023 school year! Faith based is committed to helping our religious community in any way possible. All hours will be dedicated and based on serving any place of worship and includes many religious events. As a board member, it is my duty to find volunteer projects for you all to participate in. So far, there have been multiple volunteer opportunities including, Super Serve Saturdays at the Tulsa Dream Center and Asbury Church, Tulsa Greek Festival, and more. Currently, there is a volunteer opportunity for Thanksgiving day of Blessings at the Catholic Charities Campus, which I would love all of you to join! I am super excited to see how this year of Key Club will turn out and I hope you all will have a wonderful year in the club.

ANIMALALLIES
Hi! My name is Grace Lee and I am a sophomore at Jenks. Animal Allies is a project that aims to support all things animals. Whether that is hands on volunteering or providing needs/services to our excellent local shelters, animal allies do it all. Our main volunteer project is called PAL and it is located in the back of Petsmart on 71st and Mingo. Here volunteers can help all kinds of dogs and cats find new homes through adoption. No matter the animal, Animal Allies aims to make every animal as happy as possible.
PROJECTHUNGERELIMINATION
My name is Bryanna Kirha and I’m the board member in charge of hunger elimination. Hunger Elimination is a prevalent and important cause that is affecting communities all across the world, with more than 820 million people suffering from hunger and being undernourished. Even making a small contribution is significant to the cause and can make a difference. As a board member, I hope to do my best to provide events or volunteer opportunities in which Key Club members can contribute to eliminating hunger in our community. With Covid, it has put restrictions on the number of people that can volunteer due to safety concerns at food banks and other organizations. However, events such as food drives in which we collect food to be donated to organizations also allow us to contribute to the cause. Coming up in November, Key Club will help with the food drive for the Jenks Food Bank which is sponsored by DECA, and will also run a drive for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. I have been reaching out to food banks and looking for opportunities that Key Club members can help with such as volunteering or donating food. Since this is my second year as a board member, I hope to give my members as many opportunities as possible as I know they are more than ready to help our community.
