Luminus triumphs at Best Companies Awards!

Luminus was one of only 84 companies nationally who achieved the coveted 3 Stars status, from 1165 who applied in 2011. Best Companies accreditation is an independent survey of employees where 1 Star is “first class”, 2 Stars are “outstanding” and 3 Stars are “extraordinary”. The survey has been developed to help employers better understand today’s complex and changing workplace issues and what they mean for their business, focusing on what employees say about the head of the organisation, senior managers, and the company’s values and principles, their manager, training and prospects, work life balance, how well they work with colleagues, whether the organisation has a positive impact on society, how involved they feel about their job and organisation, and how happy they are with their pay and benefits. The survey showed that managers are a key factor in the success of an organisation and are vital to employee well-being, team focus, customer satisfaction and developing employees’ potential. Luminus scored highly in this area because of its focus on leadership and management development to build a “Premium Brand” management team, which is carried out entirely in house, saving the company £500,000 each year.

Park View Extra Care Scheme welcomes VIPs The guests were taken on a tour of Park View’s facilities which include a fully landscaped and enclosed garden, restaurant, hairdressers, laundry room, hobbies area, library, physio room and a guest suite available to residents’ visitors. Residents can enjoy the communal dining and lounge areas, which are furnished to the highest standard and will host entertainment such as gentle exercise classes, computer training and coffee mornings. Chan Abraham, Luminus Group Chief Executive welcomed Jonathon Djanogly, MP for Huntingdon, and Councillor Jeff Dutton, Chairman of Huntingdonshire District Council to Park View, Luminus’ newly built flagship extra care scheme.
