Building walls at the Herring Island Discovery Centre are all 77mm conrete with 3mm corten cladding and 10mm plaster on the inside, for a total thickness of 90mm. In the case of more than one storey, heavy duty anchor bolts are used to hold I-beams which support timber floorboards. These buildings are meant to be passed through at a leisurely pace and so they have been constructed relatively light.
