Develop PRACTICAL skills CONNECT with professionals Discover your PASSION Welcome to Securing Tomorrow - Accelerate Your I.T Network I.T is a major industry in New Zealand, contributing almost $23 billion to the economy in 2012. Yet 83% of NZ employers report that talent shortages are affecting business results – with I.T being in shortest supply.
The key issue is that I.T students lack sufficient practical knowledge and skills to plan their future profession and enter the industry. To bridge this gap, we have specifically created an innovative networking event called Securing Tomorrow – Accelerate Your I.T network.
In this event, students will engage directly with organisations including from Xero, Potentia, TIN100 and more. Through a series of workshops, panel discussions and group activities, these I.T industry insiders will provide key insights about the opportunities available, workplace culture, communication skills and the key competencies required in the I.T workforce.
Ultimately, Securing Tomorrow is a rare opportunity to develop and showcase your practical skills, beyond the experience listed in your CV.
Speakers and Panel It is our pleasure to announce that the following speakers and panel will be present at Securing Tomorrow. All our speakers are notable figures in the I.T industry, and we look forward to hearing their insights on the day.
