GRE ECO-GARDEN + RESTAURANT

-8-

An urban garden in Seville, a green area where walk, cultivate and relax. This urban garden will be organic, so it will bring many benefits to Seville. A fun and healthy activity, to create an enviromental awareness and create an habit of healthy life. More green space to purify the polluted air of the city, and it also will have a social character, since it will allow needy families cultivate their own food.

The garden is going to be managed and maintained so that the owners of the plots, every so often they pay a certain part of their production with cultivated produce, not with money. This part of the products will spent in the kitchen of a restaurant incorporated into our garden. This organic and vegetarian restaurant will be open to the public and it will have a low cost.

The aesthetics that we were looking for our urban garden was a place created with organic forms which creates indoor and outdoor communications, linked by glass and vegetation. The result of this design is a space formed by two structures, two access and enclosure, all surrounded by vegetation. The interior structure houses interior gardens and the kitchen, and is complemented by the external structure with an organic form that follows the main pattern. This structure houses the toilets, storage, dinning and all the exterior gardens. The aesthetic has presented a futuristic touch due to organic forms in white which integrate the landscape. Outside, along with the gardens will be some benches where relax in a natural landscape.

BMW - 20 -

The idea is to open a store that promotes the latest model of BMW, answering his philosophy of aerodynamics, efficiency and future. It also aims to promote the interaction of the customer with the product, to increase the accessibility, so anyone who believes that a BMW is out of reach, giving him the opportunity to design and drive it, prompting him to idea of the proximity of the product to its possibilities. Our idea comes from the small size of the shop, which ultimately turns to be the most successful way to take public attention. The windows of the facade create a shop-showcase that attracts people on the square, seeing these people with large screens and glasses on driving electronics. It has two central access doors that make this small space a more open and accessible. It is a place with four compact seats made to measure in which you will design and will drive the car of your dreams. The seats are placed facing the wall where there are large screens where you’ll designing a car. This allows us to choose the paint, upholstery colors and BMW i8 materials and create the car of our dreams. And once you designed the vehicle you can drive it as closely to reality as possible: this is achieved by two interventions: That the seat, steering wheel and dashboard are like really would be one of the BMW models. On the other hand thanks to the integration of virtual reality glasses that will make the experience of driving a BMW totally real.

This project is located in the Aljarafe Center in Mairena del Aljarafe, Sevilla. Aljarafe Center is a large public square of 16,000 square meters which incorpore a building of two floors with retail and catering establishments. The complex includes also two monumental towers fifteen plants, one of which with a modern business center, while on the other, has installed a four star hotel with 119 rooms. Finally, the common area that connects the first two levels of the tower houses a large public library. Our project is located on the longitudinal free space in front of the library and serve as a principal objective to expand interior library in outer space. The library is too small for his inhabitants and in this part of the architecture has become a Lost Space uninhabited, so we want to solve these two problems with our project. This outside library is formed by a monumental rectangular spiral structure of two floors which is diminishing in size and it integrates study tables. The entire project aims to integrate people in this Lost Space leading to various activities such as study, reading, relaxing or cultural activities to be held in the integrated stage. It also aims to create environmental awareness - 29 -

due to deforestation carried out to produce the quantity of books for such a large library. This environmental awareness is carried out by the large amount of vegetation that forms the project, photovoltaic panels that provide electricity to the lights that light up at night and the water collection system for watering plants and window cleaning . In addition to these factors, the use of natural light and good average climate of this area makes save energy and help the environment. The structure which form the project consists of a spiral wooden covered by glass which diminishes in size as it moves away from the library. It has 10 square pillars resembling a large covered glass shelves, placed asymmetrically, and with determined characteristics to withstand the wooden beams that form the spiral structure. At the bottom there are drawings made with wood boards which continuous the spiral. The asymetrical second floor, which communicating with the belachers of the socio-cultural events area, has seats for sitting or lying, designed for relaxing or reading. This second floor is accessible by a spiral staircase, the belachers or by an accessible elevator.

KAM NATURAL THERAPIES HOTEL

CEN TRO

The objective of the project is the design of a Hotel of Natural Therapies, through the change of activity of a building currently used as Visitor Center. This is located on the outskirts of Aznalcรกzar, a town located in the province of Seville, Spain. The center is surrounded by the protected natural landscape of the Green Corridor of the Guadiamar, that collects a great diversity of environments and landscapes.

KA MI

It was intended to take advantage of and enhance the style presented by the structure of the building. A style reminiscent of functionalism, rationalism, or organic architecture, by that contrast between horizontality, the straight line and all this in connection with nature. Being located in the middle of the field, interested to take advantage of the rela-

tionship with its natural environment. Its location in this protected space facilitates the connection with nature and the positive mood and predisposition of relaxation. The design will combine features of Japanese architecture and organic architecture, enhancing the predominant characteristics of the organic style outside the hotel, and prioritizing the creation of intimate spaces in the interior, more characteristic of Japanese architecture. The change of functionality of the building will require a totally new distribution of spaces, based on a conception of the space much more flexible than the existing one, in order to efficiently take advantage of the facilities and give the interior an environment that invites relaxation through a diaphanous and light design.
