The designs were based around workplace persona research in collaboration with the Dallas teams and work modes that captured the essence of the firm. Besides solar, acoustic and energy studies, we took a deep dive as a design team to enhance the workplace by undertaking employee surveys, behaviour mapping, departmental briefings, facility management reviews, extensive test fits and furniture market analysis. The office was designed to have an initial capacity of 110 workstations in addition to touchdown and collaborative spaces. The flexible design also allow for growth up to 150 workstations, as well as a planned subdivision for a potential sub-let.

Kent, United Kingdom, 2017 15,000 Square feet - New build Workplace research & Design Lead Designer

The O’Keefe Group tasked HTS with the workplace research and interior design for their new offices in Kent. Where they would merge their three existing offices in hopes of creating and embedding a new office culture. Through the activity support questionnaires and space utilization surveys, the specific departmental requirements were identified and resulted in an open, organic floor plan that encourages collaboration and discourages isolation of the different sectors. Through a holistic approach, I was able to modify the envelope, structure and services maximizing interior space and creating a coherent space which emphasizes the human experience throughout. Planning permission has been granted in December 2017 and works are due to start late February 2018.

Exterior and interior refurbishment of an urban family home in the outskirts of Entre Rios. The project included stripping out the interior of a 1920’s house and redistributing the space to accommodate for the growing family. Through a design & build route, we partnered with 8build from a very early stage to deliver Aermont with a space as unique as their brand is. The brief described a white canvas in which the directors would house their art collections and in time expand it with new acquisitions. Resulting in a luxurious space that works as a backdrop for the artworks rather than competing with them. After creating the design and FF&E selections, I worked on the construction drawing set and attended regular site meetings with the contractors to ensure a the quality of the space was not compromised.

I was chosen as Design Manager for the fit-out of Sony Mobile’s new office in RSH+P’s Chiswick Park Complex. I acted on behalf of 8build (main contractor), developing the project from design intent through completion. Modifying and value engineering as necessary with close contact to the client, the PM’s (CBRE), TPBennett (design intent) and all subcontractors. Attending weekly site meetings during a six month coordination and construction period. The project consisted of transitioning from 250 assigned workstations to 109 hot-desks with the incorporation of different work-modes to engage the user’s productivity and creativity. The project was completed in November 2016 and was considered a great success for both profitability and end-user’s response.
