Dear Lawrence Faculty & Community Members, 2020 is here and with it comes exciting changes that are sure to further advance our school district. It is important that we all continue to be advocates for public education. Part of that advocacy means being equipped with information to inform the public as to the current challenges that public schools face. This semester I will be visiting every school building and meeting with various community groups to educate stakeholders on how public schools are funded in Indiana.

I look forward to another year of Lawrence Excellence and thank you for your continued support and patronage.

Sincerely,

Shawn A. Smith, Ph.D. Superintendent of Schools
