Hey, Division One!

A Message From Your Lieutenant Governor

I hope that everyone is ready for summer vacation—I sure know I am! However, even though the school year is almost over, the service year is still going on throughout the summer! Please continue to stay in contact with all of your officers during your break! Remember to schedule busing for Fall RTCs coming up in September, and also prepare for our second PCM and a Divisional car wash in July. These first two very eventful months of the service year just flew by! We already had our first PCM, our first service project for the service year, and a very successful school supply and book drive! Let’s make the best of the months ahead of us. If you guys ever have any questions about anything at all, please know that I will always be here no matter what! You guys can all reach me through emails, phone calls, text messages, and even Facebook! I’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as I can. I hope that everyone has a safe, incredible summer, and I will see you all very soon! Yours in Caring and Service,

Cecilia Kang Division 1 Lieutenant Governor

FIELD OF DREAMS KEY CLUB DAY AT THE SOUTH JERSEY FIELD OF DREAMS TOOK place on Sunday, June 5th. Key Clubbers from around the division participated in the event, which was also Division 1’s first service project for the 2011-2012 service year! Twenty-two students from around the division volunteered on Sunday afternoon for four games from 12:30 PM until 4:30 PM. The South Jersey Field of Dreams is a place for children and adults with physical and mental handicaps where they can play baseball together in a safe and friendly environment. At Field of Dreams, each volunteer is paired up with a player, and the volunteer helps his or her partner run the bases,

play baseball, and feel motivated. Each player belongs on a team with the same name and uniform as a professional Major League Baseball team.* The Key Clubbers that Sunday afternoon enjoyed volunteering and helping out. It was a learning experience for many, and it has inspired many students to do even more for Key Club. Division 1’s first service project was a success, and we all hope to involve ourselves again with the Field of Dreams. If you would like to learn more about the South Jersey Field of Dreams, please go online and visit www.sjfieldofdreams.com for more information. *Teams that played on Sunday afternoon are listed below.

At International Convention, there are workshops that can help all Key Clubbers benefit in some way; whether it be learning about different international organizations or other K-Family clubs, there is something for everyone.
