Strategies: 4 Create a culture of institutional compliance by employing coaches and staff members with high standards of integrity and ethical behavior, and developing a shared responsibility for adherence to NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
4 Employ a professional staff of compliance officers tasked with educating coaches, staff and student-athletes on NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
4 Operate an effective agent education program to inform student-athletes and their parents about the appropriate procedure for pursuing advice and counsel on seeking professional status after completion of eligibility.
4 Be proactive in proposing NCAA and SEC legislation for the betterment of student-athletes.
4 Implement an effective program to educate coaches, staff, student-athletes and external constituencies – including boosters and alumni -- about NCAA and SEC rules and regulations.
4 Work in collaboration with LSU booster groups that support the intercollegiate athletics program. Maintain control of all donations and expenditures of funds, following appropriate audit and information procedures consistent with NCAA and SEC guidelines.
