The purpose was to recognise and appreciate the efforts of Corporate in implementing Six Sigma techniques to improve quality in the fields of service and manufacturing. From a humble beginning, with 37 companies in the first year, the year 2008 saw the globalization of the event with international participation from Iran and Sri Lanka. In the year 2011, the event had more than 80 participating organizations showing their acumen and efforts in achieving Value and Excellence through Six Sigma. It also marked the beginning of the concept of regional rounds to cater to increasing participation.
