Welcome Winter is a fabulous time of year here in Greeley! When snow arrives there are some great sledding hills in our local parks and open spaces that the kids love to visit. On days when our beautiful Colorado weather is mild, we have wonderful places to explore while you enjoy hiking or bike riding. Why not take a stroll on the Sheep Draw Trail, Poudre Trail or just around your neighborhood this season to get out and breathe the fresh air? There are plenty of opportunities for indoor activity as well. Check out a UNC Hockey Game at the Ice Haus, run in the indoor track at the Family FunPlex or take a fitness class

to the Recreation Connection magazine! at the Greeley Recreation Center during your lunch hour. We try to offer a variety of activities and events for you and your family; just thumb through this magazine and see what’s in store. You won’t want to miss the annual Festival of Trees at the Union Colony Civic Center or the American Girl Doll Day at the Greeley Ice Haus. Looking for some special time with your loved ones? Be sure to come to the Mother Son Day of Fun event or the Father Daughter Dance at the Greeley Recreation Center and make some memories that will last a lifetime.

You won’t be disappointed this winter with all the fun things we have planned! There’s no excuse for slowing down, as we’ll keep you plenty busy this winter. Share how you stay active during the cold months by posting photos on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter – just look for GreeleyRec and stay in touch with what’s happening by joining our social networks.
