ICA Management: The ICA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of Indiana. The ICA is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers representing the various ethnic communities. ICA Established: The International Institute movement began in Gary in 1919 to server immigrant families. The International Institute was incorporated in 1937 the International Institute of Northwest Indiana Inc. merged with LACASA of Northwest Indiana, Inc. in Oct. 2002 as International Institute/LACASA and name changed to International Community Alliance.
