My First Piano Competition My hands were shaking as I stepped on stage. I could feel the judges’ eyes watching my every movement as I sat down, took a deep breath, and started to play my first piece. My fingers flowed across the piano, shaking slightly as I pressed each key. After I was done with both my pieces, I bowed to the judges and walked off the stage, but not too fast, as a sign of confidence. After the competition, for about thirty minutes, my family and I waited outside for the scores to be posted in the hall. We waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for what it seemed like hours. Finally, we went into the hall and saw the four top people. I was not one of them. I was a little disappointed, but I thought, who cares? It was only my first time. Maybe next time. And I smiled to myself as I drove home with my family. It was glad to be home. Home Sweet Home.

Music One of the things that are in my heart is music. My passion for music is strong and I love composing music, but I don’t always like practicing. I am a free spirit and do not like to be forced to do things. I like having fun and sometimes forget to be serious. I only play one instrument, but I want to play many others. I also want to play the flute, the violin, and maybe the harp. I have a big mind, but very little focus and sometimes have trouble paying attention. I like music because it is a great talent and a beautiful sound to listen to.
