Guest OneCard Your LMU Guest OneCard allows you access to your housing assignment, laundry facility in your assigned residence hall, and designated dining locations. For your safety and security, do not loan your key to anyone. Always close and lock your room door every time you leave your room. Contact our office immediately if you lose or damage your card. Check-Out Check-out time is 11:00am. Your OneCard will expire at that time on the last day of your conference. Lock Outs/Lost OneCard Guests who lock themselves out of their rooms can contact our office to regain access. It is also important to contact our office if your OneCard is lost or stolen. Photo I.D. must be shown to regain access or obtain a new OneCard. OneCard Funds To deposit money onto your OneCard, you will need to visit the OneCard Office in the basement of the Von der Ahe Building. You may add funds with cash or check only. Funds can be used for the laundry machines, the bookstore, any food store on campus, and various other places. All deposits are non-refundable. There are also seven cash to card locations where you may add money to your card. Residence Hall/Apartment Access The residence hall main entrances are secured 24 hours a day. Access may be gained only at the main entrance of each residence hall/apartment by using your OneCard provided at check-in. For your safety, do not prop open main entrance or exit doors, or allow persons without access cards to enter the building. Room Changes Room changes can only be granted by the lead conference coordinator and with the approval of the Conference & Event Services staff. Switching room keys without permission is not permitted. Conference guests are responsible for the room key and room they are assigned to at check-in.


Guest Services ATM’s LMU has three ATMs on campus: A Wells Fargo ATM on the first floor of University Hall and a Bank of America and University Credit Unions ATMs located next to the Lair Marketplace in Malone. Bookstore (Von der Ahe) Carries food, toiletries, greeting cards, academic books, bestsellers, office supplies, LMU apparel, and other novelty items. Hours of operation are: Mon-Thur. Campus Retail Dining and Cafés For operating hours, please check posted signs or visit dining.lmu.edu/. Jamba Juice (Malone) Offers a variety of fresh fruit juices and smoothies. Starbucks Coffee (Hannon Library) Offers specialty coffee, beverages, and fresh pastries. Einstein Bros Bagel (University Hall) Offers a variety of bagels, lattes, and teas. Catholic Church Services Monday – Friday 7:30am in Leavey Chapel Sundays 10:00am in Sacred Heart Chapel Copy Services A full-service copy center is located on Parking Level Two (P2) in University Hall. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (310.338.2730). A 24-hr FedEx is located in Marina del Rey (310.827.2297).


Dining Center: Ahmanson The dining center is only open during scheduled meal times. Please check with your group leader to see which meals are scheduled for your program. Fitness Center The Fritz B. Burns Recreation Center offers guest passes for visitors 18 years and over. The workout area includes a wide range of equipment, including dumbbells, barbells, and cardio machines. Workout towels are required. Membership includes access to the pool, basketball, and tennis courts when not reserved for groups. For fees and hours, call 310.338.2912. Laundry Washers and dryers are located in designated utility rooms in each residence hall. Funding must first be added to your guest OneCard in order to utilize washers and dryers (see OneCard Funds section for instructions). Dry cleaning services are also available off-campus at our local cleaner’s: Rowena’s Cleaners (8430 Lincoln Blvd. / 310.670.0156) Linen Conference & Event Services is proud to offer Laundry-Free bed sheets and pillowcases. They are USDA certified as 100% Biobased and made from award-winning TENCEL® fiber, which comes from Eucalyptus tree wood pulp. TENCEL®. Laundry-Free Linens® are chemical-free, dye-free, and odor-free. Laundry-Free Linens® are designed to be used and disposed of, and should not be laundered. Laundry-Free Linens® are semi-durable and can be used up to several weeks, depending on usage habits. Upon check-out (If provided linen), please make sure that your blanket, towels, and pillow are in your room in order to avoid lost linen fees. The disposable sheets and pillowcase are yours to keep if you would like to pack with your belongings. If your group is signed up for a linen exchange, bring your used towels to the scheduled exchange date, place, and time, to swap for a new set. Your biodegradable sheets and pillowcase can be disposed of before receiving a new packet. For more information, check with your group leader.


Mail All of your postal needs can be met at Mail Services (first floor University Hall). Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm. There are no mail services on the weekends. On weekends, we suggest you contact the Marina del Rey FedEx Office to make arrangements at 310.827.2297, as they will accept deliveries for individuals. Maintenance Concerns Guests can report maintenance concerns by calling the Conference & Event Services Office at 310.338.2975. Parking All guests must pay for parking on campus. Parking permits may be purchased at pay stations in specific lots, or online. LMU requires a valid license plate to be entered at the time of payment. Invalid or incorrect license plate entry may result in the incorrect issuance of a citation. Please purchase carefully and use exact change, as refunds are not available. Questions may be directed to the Parking Office at 310.338.1681. Transportation Should you need to arrange transportation to LAX from campus, we suggest: Yellow Cab Co. SuperShuttle

Campus Policies Alcohol Possession and consumption of alcohol is permitted only by those of legal age (21) inside their private residence. Persons who consume alcohol are discouraged from displaying alcohol-related behavior that is abusive to one self or others. All persons are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner; drunkenness and public intoxication are unacceptable. Cooking Cooking is permitted only in the apartments. The only approved cooking appliances in residence halls are Hot pots, coffee pots, and hot air popcorn poppers. Curfew All persons under the age of 18 are expected to be inside their residence hall by 10:00pm each night. Additionally, all persons, regardless of age, are not permitted to linger outside campus buildings. Drugs Illegal drugs are never allowed on the LMU campus. All prescribed drugs are to be consumed under the regulations in which they were prescribed. Furniture Furniture may not be removed, reconfigured, changed, or damaged anywhere on campus. All rooms and buildings are inspected before the arrival of a conference group, and again after their departure. Fees will be assessed as necessary. Lost and Found LMU is not responsible for items lost or left in rooms, buildings, or meeting spaces. “Lost and Found� is located at Public Safety in Foley Annex: 310.338.2893. Pets Animals are not permitted on campus, with the exception of service animals.


Parking All guests must pay for parking on campus. (See Parking in the Guest Services section for information and instructions.) Quiet Hours Quiet hours are enforced in all residence halls from 8:00pm-8:00am, Sunday-Thursday and 10:00pm-8:00am, Friday-Saturday. Noise from one’s room/apartment should not be audible in the hallways or other people’s rooms/apartments. Recycling and Trash Recycling containers are placed on each floor of all residence halls, and many areas around campus. Please do not put non-recyclable products in these containers. All non-recyclable products should be placed in trashcans. Each residence hall has trash rooms and trash chutes, usually labeled Vestibule. Please empty your trash there. Roofs, Balconies, Trellises, and Ledges For safety reasons, all persons are not allowed on the roofs, balconies, trellises, or ledges at any time. Smoking Smoking is only permitted outside buildings, at least 25 feet from all doors and windows, of all campus buildings, by those persons of legal age (18). This policy applies to electronic cigarettes as well. Supervision of Minors Minors under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult group representative/counselor/parent at all times. Vandalism Vandalism is prohibited on the LMU campus. Vandalism is defined as acts of malicious mischief, willful and wanton damage, or destruction of person or University property. Windows and Screens For safety and security reasons, persons and objects are not permitted to pass through windows in the residence halls. Removing or tampering with window screens is prohibited.
