The superstars of slapstick are coming to Middlesbrough! Clive Webb and Danny Adams – who have been wowing Newcastle panto audiences for over five years – bring their brand new show Daredevils and Clowns to the Town Hall for the very first time! Expect two hours of mindblowing entertainment packed with magic, madness, mayhem, comedy, dancing Girls, slapstick and the now legendary rock band “Clownforce”….oh and the mysterious Dangerous Alan!

Orchestra will start their concert with Bernstein's effervescent Candide Overture. This will be followed by a short work by the most famous living Polish composer, Christoph Penderecki. Tonight’s soloist, Agata Szymczewska, will then perform Mendelssohn’s wonderfully exuberant Violin Concerto. In the second half we have a rare opportunity to hear Mahler's vast musical canvas his Symphony No. 5.

Wednesday 27 February The Crypt 7pm (doors) – 7.30pm (show) £12, £10 conc Flossie Malavialle is a French singer who became involved in the folk scene when she was on a teachers’ exchange in the North East. Since then she has continued to raise her profile and released nine albums packed with well-established

folk songs to jazz standards, blues numbers to Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel’s classics. BBC Radio 2 star Mike Harding invited her to perform her take on Jacques Brel’s “Amsterdam” and described it as “one of the best versions I’ve ever heard”. The show will see her perform songs from her back catalogue as well as material from her brand new album ‘X’.

All Action Wrestling returns to Middlesbrough Town Hall for the annual ‘Brawl in the Hall’ challenge which features the best of British wrestling 6

talent in their grapple against fighters from the rest of the world. Experience the excitement and feel the atmosphere of All Action Wrestling’s high impact, hard hitting battling action that’s guaranteed to provide an unforgettable spectacle for the whole family.

It’s a proper star-studded telly feast tonight, with two of the biggest hits of Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow hitting the stage. Canadian charmer Tom Stade comes storming back for a special guest Big Mouth appearance after wowing the Town Hall last year. And expect plenty of sharp observations from straight talking Aussie legend Steve Hughes. THE BAND OF THE YORKSHIRE REGIMENT Sunday 24 March Main Hall 2.30pm (doors) – 3pm (show) £5 (all funds raised by ticket sales will be donated to the Benevolent Fund) The Band of the Yorkshire Regiment in partnership with the Mayor of Middlesbrough will perform their second annual concert to not only recognise and promote the pride the town has in the Regiment but also to raise funds for its benevolent fund, which supports soldiers and their families who are discharged from the army. The show promises to be an entertaining and diverse programme.

Adagio from 'Spartacus' by Khachaturian. Nina Kotova, the leading Russian cellist, will then join the orchestra to play Shostakovich's cello concerto which has become one of the most popular works of the cello repertoire.   The show will end with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, known as the Pathetique. This great masterpiece was conducted by Tchaikovsky only a week before his mysterious death and its combination of dramatic climaxes, stirring marches and a concluding slow movement of overwhelming poignancy makes this work one of the most profound compositions of Tchaikovsky's extraordinary life.

thinks about the world we live in but its time to hear a different voice, purple van man’s voice.
