This is Mo
Over half of all mobile phones in the UK are now smartphones. That means there’s a lot of people out there carrying very powerful computers around in their pockets. At LOVE, we’re always looking for ways to unlock the potential of new technology to connect brands and consumers. SLIDE 2
The branded space Retail spaces and shop windows are typically a one sided conversation.
...but with Smart phones, we can change that.
The Mo engine We’ve created a clever piece of technology which allows for interaction between a smart phone and a digital installation.
Mo User device
Creative opportunities Our first instant interaction experiment, doodlr. Users connect to a URL, allowing them to doodle collaboratively onto a shop window.
Creative opportunities This experience can be converted to other applications. artr is an organic and ever evolving art piece, where users supply the content.
Creative opportunities But, it’s not all about artsy fartsy. With ballr, several users can compete against each other in real time.
How it works Mo does this with clever combination of Socket.IO and node.js that bridges the gap between smartphone web browsers and real-time, multi-user experiences.
Wifi or 3G
Web server running node.js
On location computer running AIR application
Unlike an app, Mo works in your smartphone browser. The fact that you don’t need to download an app to interact really lowers the barrier to entry and provides opportunity for brands to instantly engage and connect with their audience. SLIDE 10
Also, users can connect through 3G or Wifi so connectivity is as accessible as it gets.
