Inner Wellbeing Cultivating a meditation practice encourages us to become more relaxed and to make more effective decisions. Our vital spontaneity and creativity begin to surface. Meditation helps us to realise that happiness is not dependent on outer circumstances but on our own inner wellbeing. Inner wellbeing requires balance, harmony and flow and through meditation we can assist in keeping our energy flowing and positive. Meditation promotes wellbeing by helping us to: • • • • • • • •

Healing our hearts is important, as we live under increasing pressure in our daily lives, often operating as if in a fog. For many the world seems to be spinning out of control, with no apparent safety or security. A regular meditation practice enables us to gently open our hearts to higher aspects. It then becomes possible, in the midst of outer turmoil, to connect to an inner peace, find greater understanding and realise the unlimited potential available to us. We may have forgotten it but all that we need to know is waiting patiently within; waiting for us to quiet the mind and connect to the heart. 10
