Process Darwin’s recruitment process is rooted in conscientious decision making, during your interview process with us a successful applicant will go through the following stages and meet a large number of the Darwin team and its owners. Stage One:

Face to Face interview

Multiple face to face interviews

Stage Three:

Trial day, including personal presentation and active involvement in the recruitment lifecycle.

Steps to your future


Interview Preparing yourself for an interview can be a nervous process if you are unprepared. Below are some tips that can help you before an interview.

Ensure that you check the date and time of your interview. Research travel to our offices and how long the journey takes Arrive, ideally at least ten minutes early which will give you time to relax Dress to impress, you never get a second chance to create a first impression.

If for any reason you are running late or cannot attend the interview, contact us directly as soon as possible, or contact your recruitment agency if did not apply direct. Training The Training and development of Recruitment Consultants within Darwin follows a linear process that allows adaptability to each consultant’s career. FDP - Foundation Development Programme: 0-6/12 Months Our FDP provides an introduction to the role of a recruiter in Darwin, including learning and practice of the essential recruitment skills. It is at this stage that a consultant will learn the fundamentals both in a classroom setting but more importantly on the sales floor. Stage 1 - Two Week Induction Stage 2 - One Day Skills Review & Delivery Workshop Stage 3 - On Going Personal Coaching All new Consultants are also assigned a Mentor, their mentor will be a senior colleague who will meet to discuss any issues, offer guidance and support and ensure that new consultants transition into the business smoothly.

ADP – Advanced Development Programme: Senior Consultant & Above

The ADP provides experienced consultants with the opportunity for continued career development by enhancing skills and introducing new concepts and ideas. Consultants entering this programme will participate in modules every 3 months; the structure of these modules will include preparation work, 1-2 day practical and theory and also follow up work. Extra guidance and support will be provided through individual one-onone sessions. The aim is to deliver a highly innovative and inspiring programme that increases business awareness, retention, productivity, commitment and creativity by delivering material both in house and with external specialists. By setting projects to follow up we will expose senior consultants to a more sophisticated approach in their own sales process whilst simultaneously moving forward with their own career development. Delivery Training will be delivered through workshops, 1on1 coaching and a project-based session each year.
