Lots for Tots South Staffs

Welcome to Issue 25...

lotsfortots_southstaffs

Autumn days are here.... I love this time of year, the crisp sunny days, the beautiful colours & the excitement building for Christmas. This issue is full of opportunities for you and your tots to go out and enjoy the best this season has to offer. There’s pumpkins aplenty, spooky crafts, twinkling Christmas lights and of course Father Christmas will be visiting Staffordshire. He’ll be enjoying a North Pole Adventure down at the National Forest Adventure Farm and even taking to the stage for some musical fun in Santa In Love at the Prince of Wales Theatre in Cannock. As the weather gets colder you may want to stay cosy indoors so visit our Lots on Weekly section to see what baby, toddler and pre-schooler classes and playgroups are happening in your area. I hope you enjoy the activities we’ve collected for you. If you contact any of the businesses featured in the magazine please tell them that you saw them in Lots for Tots. It helps us to keep bringing you all this fantastic information every quarter.

Peaty swaps the pool for school Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty visits local prep school Denstone College Prep School in Uttoxeter had an extremely special guest visiting in September, local boy Adam Peaty MBE. He bought several medals including his Olympic Gold medal and some of the children were lucky enough to try it for size! He was happy to answer a plethora of questions from both pupils and staff and even spent time with the pre-schoolers.

Headmaster Jerry Gear said, “Adam told us that for children two hours swimming a week was more than enough, that rest is a really important part of training and how suffering the occasional disappointment in a race helped to spur him on to even greater things.” “He pitched the answers to all of the questions at just the right level for the children and it really was inspiring to listen to him.”
