The municipality of Ponte dell’Olio was founded in the high middle ages and is located admist Val Nure, halfway the Nure river that flows around the area. The ptoject site is situated in the hilly landscape north from the urban area of Ponte dell’Olio. The area is located between two wooden areas. The project consists of a small complex of residences and the goal is to impact on the landscape as little as possible and therefore create a close relationship with the surrounding environment. The design concept is divided into three phases:

Volume orientation toward the panoramic view and in accordance with sun exposure.

Volume division accordingly to the number of housing units and positioned laying along the countour lines.

Unites connection provided by an elevated pedestrian path linked to the leading road and the urban area.

The project is located in the heart of the city of Shanghai, a few steps from the Bound, a place where modern architecture is related with the colonial past of the area. Inserted in a small space between an old residential complex and a new office complex, the design intention is to connect the old with the new. The tower consists of two parts: a residence part for artists with an atelier at the top, and an office part, placed above a commercial base and joined by a distribution volume.

Subtraction of the volume to homologate to adjacent buildings. The destination of the building was divided into two types.

Connection of the two wings of the building through a central staggered distribution body.

Respect of alignments with adjacent buildings and vertical division of the project.

Study of the project area in the southern suburbs of Milan. This part of town is located below the Beruto’s urban plan of 1885 and the Pavia-Masera’s urban plan of 1912. The agricultural area turned into an industrial area thanks to the proximity of the Porta Romana railway. Currently the place is subject to great transformations and has great potential

The project is located in the outskirts south of Milan. The context is composed of memories of factories and farmhouses. At the same time new buildings, like Prada Foundation, arise in nearby areas transforming and animating the whole district. The project fills a void and becomes a student housing with a small neighborhood library. The entire building surrounds a public space and is a reminder of the area’s industrial and agricultural past.

A new life for the railway station of Rogoredo: the south east area of Milan develops a multi-purpose complex in the middle of a park dedicated to art. The project aims to become a new attraction area of the outskirts of the city. “Wall as architecture� arises from the idea to consider the wall as a generator of the project. The wall becomes an element of strength, transforming itself into an artistic pictorial canvas. The project is a partial operation between the recovery of the existing buildings and new multi-functional complexes. Art is the red thread that connects the functions of the project.

the generating axes derive from the surrounding context.

Buildings are placed perpendicular to the road in order to protect the spaces behind.

The whole project is placed on a park area. Sequences of open spaces are connected by internal paths

Areas within the project will be used for art exhibitions. At the same time, a perimeter wall between the area and the railway will be a space used for displaying permanent artistic murals

The project arise from the idea to design a pavilion characterized by two public spaces: one external and the other introspective. A wall becomes a net division element between a covered area in close relationship with the city, in which the citizens can also found a water well. The wall also take the function of acoustic insulation; behind it, the three spaces of exhibition, contemplation and Spreading awareness form the primary area of the building, respecting the necessity of a enclosed and quiet place. If the wall is the element of division, the covering system made of wooden pillars, bamboo beams and a white sheet, with his continuity, is the connecting object of the single areas, it collects also rain water to be filtered and reused afterwards through the water well. The pavilion is thought to be a succession of the spaces that concludes with a central contemplation area, that becomes the heart of the building. From the first to the last the spaces enclose and protect the following one; however the visitors can move freely between them..
