It's no wonder people struggle to lose weight. We're bombarded with new ideas, and techniques that are supposedly the best way to lose belly fat every day. On the TV, Radio, in the Newspaper and on the Internet. So exactly what is the best way to lose weight? That's exactly what I want to explain to you in this article. More specifically I want to first look at the different options you way, what I feel is the safest way, and how you can get started on your own today. After reading this article you should be able to get started for yourself losing weight, without the hype and expense that the diet and weight loss companies seem to feel is a requirement to safe and healthy fat loss. Your options to lose belly fat There are a slew of options to shedding belly fat, of course the risks and rewards vary with each one so let's take a look at a few. Surgery: Probably the most drastic, and only in my opinion laziest, way to lose weight. There is always risk associated with going under the knife, and really I don't think having a

weight loss surgery performed teaches us anything about how to not gain weight and manage our lifestyle. Diet Pills: A step down from losing belly fat via surgery, but only in that it reduces the dangers of surgery. There are other dangers associated with taking diet pills for a prolonged period of time. Again while these do work in the short run, they are not a long term way to lose belly fat. Fat Diets: We're getting warmer here, at least the fad diets of today (which are viewed as the best way to lose belly fat by many celebrities) require us to modify how we eat and express some discipline during the time frame we're trying to lose weight. The outcome how ever is the same, no long term plan. Life Style Changes: Ok, so here it is, the safest and most effective way to lose belly fat (in my opinion). Making required lifestyle changes to our diet and exercise routine are the best and I believe only way to have long term weight loss and keep at a specific weight for any period of time. Why Lifestyle Change is the safest way to lose belly fat For starters, the best thing about making specific changes to your lifestyle for weight loss is you can continue on with it for ever. When you learn to eat healthier, spend more time exercising, and being self conscious of how you treat your body you're developing a habit, a healthy habit that will allow you to stay fit, and slim for life. In contrast the other three alternatives I talked about in the

first part of this article are all quick fixes, but they don't provide us with any long term plans to stay healthy and keep weight off after the diet pills are gone, or diet is over. So what can you do to jump start your belly fat loss? I'll give you three quick tips that you can use to jump start your lifestyle changes. 1.) Modify your current diet/meals/planning: It all starts in the kitchen with what you eat. You need to stop eating processed foods, and get out of the habit of snacking on unhealthy fatty foods like crackers, chips, and other fast grab items. Instead start looking at fruits as a good snack alternative, and educate yourself on how a well rounded diet should be. Plan your meals in advance, this will reduce the chances of you buying take out or cooking something premade that will be high in fat. 2.) Drink more water: This is a double benefit, first off more water will make you feel better, more hydrated. Secondly, drinking a lot of water is some what of an appetite suppressant. We're supposed to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day, something very few people do to my knowledge. 3.) Portion sizes: So tip one was making better food choices, tip three is not eating to much of even a good thing. While healthy foods are better for us, if we over eat on anything we're going to have to many calories. So control your portion sizes at meals. BONUS TIP 4: You have to get out and exercise this is unavoidable. If you want to lead a healthy lifestyle, eating isn't the only option. A brisk walk, jog, or doing some form of exercise at home are all excellent alternatives to getting your heart rate up and pumping.
