High Priestess Each year we hear about “making our budget” and plan several Ways & Means projects during the year to do so. This year is no different. Since our court dues do not cover the expenses of the court, we need additional money to cover the shortfall. We are just like a family where the parents go to work. However, each time that we do work at a Ways & Means Project we receive an additional bonus of getting to know each other that much better; AND we can have fun at the same time. I know that we will do a „bang up job‟ this year. When you receive this newsletter, we will have finished our golf tournament. This has been a really big project and I hope that you were able to enjoy the activities. Thanks to all who participated: played golf or the games, collected donations or sponsors or ate. Our next project will be announced at our May meeting; so come to court to hear about it. It also will be our last meeting of the year. As we did last year, we will again focus on helping our kids. Please help Associate Princess, Lady Dee Berkebile-Wright‟s Special Project..

Princess Ladies, how wonderful it is to belong to one of the greatest L.O.S. Courts in North America! It was so exciting to watch the new Officers and Aides during the last court meeting. Let us not forget what a great job our new High Priestess Janet Mielke did as well. Now is the time to start planning our trip to W.A.O.U.M. in Portland, Oregon. I will be reporting on airfares at our next Court meeting. Sphinx Court always has such a fun time on these trips so if you have never been please plan on attending. Be prepared to laugh a lot and make new friends. To all that are leaving the Valley for the summer months be safe and stay healthy. For those of us staying around, try to stay cool! I wish you all a Blessed summer!

Associate Princess Many thanks to all the units and clubs, officers and members, for your generous donations in lieu of gifts. They will all go toward my project, “HAPPY FEET”, an orthotic shoes project. More information on this will be forthcoming. They have also sent me a list of items for the children, so I‟ll be giving each unit a list from the hospitals and maybe we can fill all their needs. Thank you for helping me to fulfill the wishes of our Shrine Hospitals.

First Ceremonial Lady Congratulations to our new officers. You all did a great job at our April Court Meeting. Janet, I was so proud of you for the job you

did. Ladies, we had to change to date of our next Membership Tea. It will now be on October 9th. Thank you for all the cards, cards, etc. after my recent shoulder surgery. All went well and there were no complications. Also, my wrist is much better. I think I‟m finally on the mend.

Second Ceremonial Lady It's picnic time in the Valley. Our May Court Meeting menu will be Bar-b-que open faced sandwiches, salads, and of course a wonderful desert. Be sure to let me know if you will be at the dinner or not. For the May Court Meeting call my Aide Sandi Beneke, as I will be at Grand Council until Saturday May 21. However, if you call me, my husband Mac, is a very good message taker. Sandi's phone number is 480-699-2996. See you after Grand Council.
