La Eterna houdt het midden tussen een performance en de opnames van een film. Dora Garcia creĂŤert omstandigheden waarin ieder gesprek, iedere discussie deel lijkt uit te maken van een strak geregisseerde film. In werkelijkheid krijgen de vele figuranten maar enkele richtlijnen en worden de deelnemers automatisch personages van het verhaal waarin ze meespelen.

La Eterna is a cross between a performance and scenes shot for a film. Dora Garcia creates situations in which each conversation, every discussion, seems to be part of a tightly directed film. In reality the numerous extras receive just a few directions and the participants automatically become characters in the story in which they are performing.
