TANZANIA Dar-es-Salam
The past two months have been ‘full-on’, with many encouragements mixed with challenges, both physical and spiritual. We confess to being pretty exhausted, having addressed several big issues while being faced with smaller ones which appear with some regularity. Physical distractions such as frequent power and water cuts, vehicle breakdowns (our brilliant car is over 20 years old!), and infrastructure failures can dim our vision, but amidst all these, it’s good to know the quiet place and be assured of the Lord’s presence as He supports us with His strength, guides us through His Word and leads us by His Spirit.
The Watoto Wa Thamani children returned from their August break with customary enthusiasm and joy. Back in routine, they were soon learning new Bible verses and songs for the Christmas assembly for parents planned for the end of November. Gill has checked their individual progress and identified those needing some extra input which has been addressed through the care assistants using tailormade resources. The felling of a tree didn’t quite go to plan and snapped the children’s zipwire, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the wire was showing some signs of wear and tear. It was replaced and now the children are enjoying a slightly quicker ride, much to their delight!
Mama Selina’s court case continues with delays and postponements. It is now reaching a critical phase with witnesses from both sides to give testimony. Typical of living here, Mama Selina’s witnesses want payment to attend court, and whereas we’re happy to meet their expenses, it would not be right to pay them to give testimony. Wisdom in resolving this issue is needed and prayer would be appreciated. She seems to be coping well considering the circumstances and trusts that, with the Lord’s help, her lawyer will be able to mount a defence which will secure her home and give her peace.
Baba and Mama Ivan moved into their new home this past weekend. They decided to move in before getting connected to the electricity grid, and with each child having their own bedroom separate from their parents for the very first time, they were overjoyed with their first sleep! They are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Lord and His
Mama Selina and baby Daniel

grace shown towards them, not only with a new home, but new life experienced through faith in Christ and good health being enjoyed by Mama Ivan since her heart operation. It was very humbling when Mama Ivan knelt before us, a cultural way of expressing deep thanks. They wish to use their home as a witness to their new neighbours and a testimony for the Lord.
It gave the assembly great joy to baptise Kung’uta on the last Sunday of August. The change seen over the past few months and the clarity of his profession of faith in Christ, gave the assembly confidence that He was truly saved. After reading and agreeing with the assembly’s statements of faith and practise, together with the responsibilities and privileges of assembly fellowship, he was received into fellowship earlier this month. He is reading his Bible, asking questions about what he has read, as well as taking part in the meetings. With so many young believers now in fellowship, wisdom is sought as to how best to guide them into a growing appreciation of Christ, through teaching and personal example.
We ask prayer for Baba Angel, who some may remember was helped 2½ years ago in paying for a colostomy reversal operation. He has attended the gospel meeting from time to time, but has been more regular recently, as he has been given four months of work at WWT covering holiday leave. Two Sundays ago, he asked for baptism, however when Stephen had a conversation with him, it was clear that he was seeking but had not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. He was given the booklet ‘Ultimate Questions’ (in Kiswahili) to read carefully and return with any questions he might have. We are waiting for his response. However, this past week, his room was robbed while he was visiting a relative, and everything of value was stolen except his bed. Clearly, forces are at work seeking to discourage and dissuade him from finding the Saviour. We trust that he might experience the saving power of the work of Christ through faith.
Kids’ Clubs continue to thrill as so many children come under the sound of God’s word. We have now finished teaching them Luke 19:1-10, and already 71 children over two Fridays have recited these verses perfectly for a prize. We pray that these scriptures may be retained, considered and used by the Holy Spirit to bring them to a knowledge of Christ as their Saviour.
We trust this news not only informs but inspires you to praise, thanksgiving and prayer.

Kung'uta baptism
Tuesday 2nd ANGOLA Camundambala
We have been back to the UK for a brief while visiting family and catching up with a few things. It’s helpful just to step away from Angola for a bit and reflect on what the Lord has put into our hands to do for Him, and at the same time opening our eyes to see the opportunities and needs.
One thing that strikes us as we get older is the importance of stickability; the Bible calls it perseverance. Peter exhorts believers to add perseverance to their faith, and Paul encourages believers to pursue perseverance. When the challenges increase, the obstacles mount up and the opposition builds, then stickability is essential.
Camundambala Assembly
The work goes on slowly and often it’s only when we pause to look back that we see how good the Lord has been. We are still a relatively young assembly and so it’s encouraging to see young ones with gift having a desire to serve the Lord. The Saturday prayer meeting is often an encouraging time when young men get to their feet for the first time, then later, you begin to hear them at the Lord’s Supper. The Sunday evening bible class group has provided sound gospel preachers and teachers of the Word. Filipe, in particular, has evident gift and conviction and we would appreciate prayer for him.
There is still an open door in Angola, the needs spiritually are overwhelming, and yet we know of not one individual or couple from the homelands who have heard the call of God to serve Him here in a wholehearted and committed way. Learning the languages is vital to be able to effectively communicate with the people. This takes time, but is an investment that will reap much over the years. Please pray that the Lord would open the ears of those He’s calling.
During the months of May, June and July I was able to visit Alto Chicapa, Camaxilo, and Caungula for four days of bible teaching in each place. Once again there were literally hundreds of believers present in each place with an open ear and a desire to know what the Bible teaches. The hunger for the Word is quite incredible and even after 30 years of serving the Lord here in Angola, it never ceases to amaze me.
The monthly elders’ bible teaching days at Camundambala and Carteira continue with numbers attending increasing. Weekly bible classes at Camundambala on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Saturday keep going and for all these efforts we would value prayer that the Lord would bless His Word and that young people will be built up in their faith to walk with the Lord and to serve Him.
Practical Work
We are thankful for visitors who have come and helped us with the ongoing work of completing the new hall at Camundambala. Hopefully sometime next year we will be able to start using it. The medical post has also undergone complete refurbishment. We
have made a start at providing all 35 houses in the leper community with a concrete block outside kitchen and concrete block latrines. We have completed 10 and look forward to this initiative improving health and hygiene standards in these families.
We are so thankful for Horano’s skill in keeping all the vehicles on the road and our generators going. We have been able to assist six local assemblies put new roofs on their halls recently and we are thankful for the Lord’s provision to enable us to help the believers in these places in such a way.
Primary School
Thank you for your prayers for the school. It continues to provide education for the 600 pupils from Camundambala and surrounding villages. We are thankful that many children get a basic elementary education, and no one leaves the school without hearing the gospel. Our deputy head is doing a sterling work, and we continue to do Bible Hour twice a week. We have tremendous opportunities to reach these children with the gospel. Although improvements to the school are needed, we must leave it in the Lord’s hands and pray that He will continue to bless what is done in weakness.
Challenges
Recently the government of Angola has made public a decree that they want to implement shortly. They want all elders and preachers to have theological
degrees. The impracticality of policing this outside of the main cities doesn’t seem to have been thought through, but it has caused much concern from believers across many churches. Please pray that this decree will not be implemented and that believers will have the courage to stand by their convictions and practises based on the Scriptures.
God willing, we return to Angola on the 7th of October. We are delighted that Jonathan Meek (Ely assembly) is planning to return with us again to help with some practical work. Brian’s 5-year residence permit is due for renewal shortly and we would value prayer that this might be renewed without any problems.

2 Cor 5-9
Sao Joaquim da Barra
These past months have had extra activities and less time for personal things. Our allpurpose hymn book, especially the music edition, is going through a thorough revision. The words have had an update, and we are focusing on the music edition now. Some of the hymns were taken from British hymn books and were just too high for the Brazilian voices, so they are being lowered a little.
God willing, it should be ready to go to the printers by the end of the year, which is almost here. Workmen have been around putting in extra book space, preparing for the future. One side has been put up along with boxes on top, and yesterday the second one went up so we will have to get the boxes up and then clear the floor space.
During September there was a holiday, so we had a meeting for young people. Vanderci, a full-time worker from Américo Brasiliense was here speaking. In the afternoon it was free for playing and talking etc. There were over 50 young teenagers present, so plenty of work to keep an eye on them all.
I am now responsible for picking up the twins on Mondays and Thursdays at the school gate. On Thursdays we have the meeting with the teenagers here at home so they help me clean up after the lesson.
In Brazil in October, we have ‘Children’s Day’, so we had the whole Sunday School gathered together, adults and all, on a rented space. Nigel Foundling was here so he gave the message to the class.
Children's Day with Nigel giving the lesson
One of our elders has not been well and has serious health problems. He is in his 80s and has a pacemaker. You could remember him in prayer.
A Supermarket has bought over the plot where the hall is, and so we are building a new hall. The construction is coming on well. We have until February to move out of the old hall, but I think we will be ready to move out sooner. The new building will give us more classrooms for Sunday School and some extra space. The main hall itself is only slighter bigger, but we will also have parking space in the front.
Thank you for your prayerful support in this vast land of Brazil.

Bangkok
Here in Bangkok, Nui and I are well. Last week I got a good result from my recent pancreas CT scan which showed no reoccurrence of cancer. We are thankful to the Lord for His love and care.
Last week our assembly joined five other assemblies for a 3-day Bible camp in Nakhon Nayok, north-east of Bangkok. The theme of the camp was ‘Never Fall’ (2 Peter 1:10) and
over 800 believers attended, along with a number of non-believers. We are praying that the Lord will bless His word.
Last week we were also praying for an elderly sister, Lek, who has been a believer now for quite a few years and who had the joy last year of bringing one of her own sisters to know the Lord. Just now Lek’s large family is in turmoil and two of her other sisters, both Buddhists, are taking each other to court, and Lek was called as a witness. We had a special time of prayer with Lek last Sunday, asking the Lord to be with her in court and give her the wisdom to know what to say. We would ask your prayer for her as the court saga continues.
Recently I met up again with Mr Nagashima and his friend Mr Yoshida. Both are Japanese men in their 80s who live here in Thailand. Mr Nagashima has received gospel booklets in Japanese in the past, and we continue to pray that he will read and understand them. Mr Yoshida, who had never seen a Bible before, asked if he could read a section from the Japanese Bible I have on my phone. I could see he was impressed, but he refused to receive a copy of the Bible which I offered to him. Do please pray for these two elderly Japanese friends that the Lord would open the eyes of their understanding and bring them to know Him as their Lord and Saviour.
The week-long Buddhist funeral for our friend Nuey’s father finished on Saturday and Nuey got permission from her siblings to give a copy of the NT to all who attended on the final day. Over 500 people, including quite a number of politicians, received a beautiful copy and we’re praying the Lord will bless His word. C. 1973/77

SRI LANKA Colombo
Jack Hay and Leonard Currie were due to visit Sri Lanka during October 2025. Due to Jack’s bypass surgery, he was unable to come and Leonard visited the island on his own. Several meetings had been arranged outside of Colombo during the weekdays.
The first was in a village near Palaly in the Jaffna Peninsula: this area had been inaccessible for much of the last forty years due to the civil war. Palaly is home to a large military and air force base. For the protection of the base, at the height of the civil war the surrounding areas had been sealed off and the population in those areas had been ordered to leave. Recently, the new government has been releasing lands that had been occupied by the military all these years. As the population returned over the last few months, believers from one of the Jaffna assemblies had been diligently visiting households and presenting the gospel to them. The first gospel meeting of Leonard’s visit to Jaffna was arranged in this district and we had to drive past several heavily fortified military camps to reach the area. The meeting was held under a tent that had been set up in the garden of a believer’s home. Around 60 souls attended and they listened well as the gospel was preached.
The same day further meetings were arranged in Selvanayagapuram, Navatgiri and Alavetti. A few days later we had the joy of hearing that a lady who had attended in Navatgiri had made a profession of faith after the meeting. The following day the assembly arranged gospel and ministry meetings in Karainagar, Sanganai, Aralithurai and Sudumalai. Karainagar is a sparsely populated island in the Indian Ocean. Although the population is small, a large number turned up to the gospel meeting. Each of these places where meetings had been arranged were being visited by us for the very first time. It is a testimony to the diligent work of local evangelists in the Jaffna Peninsula in reaching previously unreached areas.
After the visit to Jaffna, meetings were arranged in Vavuniya. Vavuniya is located about a three-hour drive south of Jaffna. These gatherings had been arranged by the Vavuniya assembly in Sithamparampuram and in Atchipuram. Both meetings were held

outdoors, and large numbers were present. From Vavuniya we travelled 8 hours by road to Hatton in the tea-growing area. Meetings were arranged in various homes and at the Kudagama Gospel Hall. Around 150 were at the meeting in the hall. This is predominantly a Hindu area. There was a large Hindu festival taking place at the same time, and on the same road as the hall. There was dancing in the street with large idols being carried by people in colourful clothing. Huge crowds lined both sides of the road to watch, so it was remarkable that so many turned up at the Gospel Hall to listen to the preaching of the Word of God at the same time.
The following day several more meetings had been arranged but had to be cancelled at short notice. One of the Colombo assembly members had been called home after being knocked down by a train while crossing a railway track and the funeral was arranged for that day. Almost two hundred people
were present. The gospel was preached by Leonard and Ravishanker, one of the local brothers. Please continue to remember the Lord’s work in Sri Lanka in your prayers.

Foz du Iguacu
We give thanks for all your prayer fellowship at what has been a very anxious time. After Jeff was informed that he had an Aorta Abdominal Aneurism, ready to rupture, he was placed on no stress motion, and lots of prayers were raised. This was not easy as he was always used to rushing around. In Foz it was impossible to have surgery, so more prayer was needed to know God’s guidance.
The Lord answered our needs through Denise’s sister-in-law, who works in the Evangelical Hospital, near Vitoria in the southeastern state of Espirito Santo. She knew the surgeon responsible for this surgery and after looking at the video taken by tomography, he asked to see us there. We flew on 7th of May, met him on the 8th and surgery took place on the 29th of May. After time in intensive care, we spent over a month recuperating at Denise’s parents and were allowed to fly back to Foz on 8th of July.
As soon as Jeff was up to it, he gave ministry at some meetings in the area of Vitoria. We also thank the Lord for His protection of our son David during this time staying in Foz on his own, when he took the responsibility to lead the prayer meetings and do a little meditation on a Psalm during the week. We ask your prayers for his future after university next year.
Please pray with us that in our Lord’s will and grace, a younger couple would take up the reins of the work here in Foz. We are feeling the strain on our health and would like to pass on the administration of the Lord’s work here. Or we carry on “Till He Comes”.
Carlos Pedro, along with his wife Cleonice, joined us last year and have been a good help, when his health permits. He has a serious liver problem and suffers lots of pain. He needs your prayers. Cleonice is excellent with children, when she comes.
Carlos Martins is from one of the groups Jeff is talking too, and it turns out he has the same problem as Jeff had and was told surgery wouldn’t be until the end of February. We told him we would pray for him and when we met him the next week, he told us he believes prayer works as he has been feeling less anxious. Please pray that he realises that he needs the Lord Jesus as his Saviour.
Please pray for Marlene and her partner Luis. They are talking about getting married, but there seems to be a difficulty. Marlene was a member of our fellowship, but left some years ago. She really wants to return but work and the potential marriage situation does not allow for her return just now. We keep contact with her and keep her in our prayers.
We also value your prayers for the activities the assembly has planned towards the end of this year. May God bless you as you approach the end of another year with the precious message of the coming of the Son of God, the Saviour of the world.

SCOTLAND Whitburn
It has been a great honour over the last few months to be involved in gospel outreach in three different venues.
In June, along with Alasdair Baijal, I joined the Assembly in Wick, away up in the very northeast of Scotland, for tent meetings. The believers at Wick work tirelessly inviting family, friends, neighbours and colleagues to come and hear the gospel. 119 different people, not connected with the Assembly, came at least once; in many cases multiple times. In the grace of God, during the meetings a local man in his 40s told us he had trusted Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Since the tent meetings finished we have learned that a boy in his early teens got saved during the campaign; the boy’s mother has also been converted in a gospel meeting in the Wick Gospel Hall that brother Stephen Baker was taking.
In the month of August, I was glad to work again with the dear saints from Hanslope Gospel Hall. The Christians hired the local community centre in Hanslope and worked hard in the distribution of invitations. It was good to see some local folks responding to the invitation and coming to some of the meetings. Also heartening was the exercise of Christian parents to bring their children nightly to hear the gospel. May the Lord answer the prayers and spiritual desires of His people in relation to family circles being complete in Christ. There was interest shown in salvation by one gentleman who indicated to me that he had made a profession of faith in Christ. It would be wonderful if this was real and fruit was seen.
In September I had the privilege of travelling to Portage la Prairie in Canada for gospel meetings in River Road Gospel Hall, sharing in the preaching with Isaiah Frazer from the US. The attendance each night was encouraging with many unsaved people coming out. A dear older man from Portage who had a real concern about meeting God in his sins, told me that he had gone home the first Wednesday night of the meetings and asked God to forgive him. He touchingly said that he knew God can do that because of Jesus. “To God be the glory great things He has done.”
In the will of the Lord at the end of October I start gospel meetings in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. Prayer is greatly valued from the Lord’s people.

ZAMBIA/ Writing BOTSWANA/N IRELAND from N Ireland
In July Helen’s dad suddenly was called home. We spent a period of time with the family and then I was ‘inactive’ for about 5 weeks due to a repeat of back surgery that wasn’t successful last year. I am presently in ministry meetings locally, after which I am due in southwest Ireland to join with the calendar outreach. At the end of September, I travelled to Zambia for the funeral of our dear sister in the Lord, Stella Nguluka. Her obituary is given below.
The Life and Service of Stella Nguluka 22nd March 1960 – 22nd September 2025
‘At Home with the Lord’
Stella Musonda was born in Kitwe, Zambia. After higher education, she qualified as a schoolteacher. She first came into contact with the gospel and was saved in 1981, at the age of 21, in Lusaka. Dan Nguluka was born in Luanshya and heard the gospel in his school days, trusting Christ in 1977. Dan soon came into assembly fellowship in Luanshya assembly, from where he was commended to the Lord’s work as a young man. His initial focus from 1982 was outreach work in Solwezi in N W Province, where there was, at that time, no English-speaking meeting. A group of young men met for prayer and Bible study and street evangelism, and the Lord blessed that testimony in the salvation of a young man called Peter Mulenga (now in fellowship in Lusaka). Shortly afterwards a testimony commenced in Solwezi, and eventually ground was purchased and a hall built.
Dan and Stella were married on 10th May 1986 in Kitwe, and Stella joined Dan in Solwezi, where their first two children, Luwi and Ntanga, were born. From the assembly there – now meeting at the ‘Valley Gospel Hall’ – they were commended to the grace of God in December 1990. Stella was offered a contract in a school in Shakawe, in N W Botswana. They believed this was the call of God, and it allowed Stella to support Dan and enable him to travel “full-time” in Shakawe and the surrounding villages. Dan recounts, “The first fruits of our joint labour were born in Shakawe; a young lady called Polokelo trusted Christ and we rejoice she has gone on well for the Lord”.
In 1992 the Lord uprooted them from Shakawe to an even more remote place called Seronga. They made their home there for a time and in Dan’s own words, “Little did we know that the Lord had precious souls needing saved there. Many were born again in Seronga, and some having moved for education and
Dan & Stella Nguluka
employment, still make up the numbers in the assembly in Maun to this day”. Their last child, David, was born in Francistown in 1993. The Lord again moved them from Seronga to Maun in 1998. Around the time another missionary couple, Sid and Karen Halsband from Canada had moved up from Gaborone to Maun. In 1999 a small assembly commenced, which has continued – with fluctuations due to remoteness and population movement – to grow and has now around 20 in fellowship today.
Stella supported Dan in his increasing wider outreach, among the Khoisan and the Herero tribes, reaching down to Ghanzi and across into Namibia. David and Helen McKillen (commended from Kells, NI, in 2004) at times came up from Francistown to assist Dan and Stella in Maun. David and Dan also travelled extensively through Zambia and Namibia in gospel outreach and Bible teaching. Franklin and Jenny McIlroy (also from Kells) came to the Lord’s work in Botswana, and for a time worked alongside Dan in Maun. In 2019 the Lord brought testing into their pathway; both Dan and Stella – having gone to Lusaka for medical check-ups –were diagnosed with differing forms of cancer on the same day. Various treatments seemed successful, and they resumed their labour in Maun for a time, with visits, when necessary, to the private hospital in Francistown (run by Kgosi and Dorcas Mompati of the Francistown assembly). Dan pays due tribute to them, “Kgosi and Dorcas always went beyond the call of duty, not only in medical care but also in providing respite in their home in Francistown and visiting us from time to time in Maun for support”.
In September 2025 it became obvious that Stella was sinking fast. Her desire was to go to Lusaka, to be with her children. She was taken to the hospital on the 19th September, and the Lord took her home to Himself on Monday 22nd. She had “finished her course and kept the faith” to the very last. The number who gathered from Botswana and all over Zambia to her funeral bore witness to the impact her testimony had made in the many spheres of life.
A very large crowd – almost 1,000 across the two services – gathered at the funeral in Lusaka, Zambia. Tribute was paid by Dr. Kgosi Mompati (their personal physician and close friend) and the message at the service was brought by David McKillen, and at the grave by Franklin McIlroy (all at Stella’s own request). The number of unbelievers present may have been in the 100s, and quite a few enquiries as to the ‘order’ and the content of the messages have subsequently been asked.
Dan is remaining with his family for a few weeks, and he will also be travelling to the northwest to visit their “home” assemblies in the Copperbelt and Solwezi. Dan requests prayer for his future movements, his return to Maun, and for his family who have lost so much. In his own words, “Stella was a beloved wife, a mother to our children, a sister in the Lord, and a best friend”.

Five days of school and university winter holidays in July were unprecedented in the three small towns north of Paraná. Over 100 young people from all over came to work together in gospel outreach. The initiative came from my son-in-law Heber and brother Fabian Mendoza in 2014, who studied in university together. It is a time of “roughing it”, and hard work in evangelism for all who attend. Every home was visited, and consequently two or three new homes have been opened for a weekly house meeting.
Parana
The Provost of Hernandarias was invited and attended the closing meeting in the school hall. He addressed his fellow citizens and highlighted the behaviour of these young people; No smoking, no alcohol, no drugs, no provocative dress, no bad language and no late-night parties. He said these young people have “brought light” to our town and are an example to follow.
A house meeting was started two years ago in Antonio Tomás, one of these small towns. Some were saved and now four baptised believers, with support from our assembly in Paraná, are Breaking Bread each Sunday. Gabriel, Ariana and their son Juan from Paraná have decided to meet there, so at our Conference on 11th October they were commended in prayer to help the believers and extend help to the next village of Brugo, while continuing secular employment.
Pray for growth and the baptisms of others who have been saved there, and for similar growth in two homes opened in Hernandarias, mentioned above, which is 63 miles from Paraná. Last Friday, I visited Hernandarias for the first time. I accompanied my daughter Fiona and her son Martin for the weekly visit and house

meeting. About eight homes were visited briefly to assess how the folks who agreed to do a Bible course were progressing and hand in the next lesson, with questions and answers.
Due to torrential rain at meeting time last Friday the meeting was held inside. Once the terrific noise under the tin roof subsided, we began with a time of singing and teaching hymns and choruses followed by the message.
The believers who opened their home made the lovely gesture of providing home-made filled rolls for supper for all present. Their joy in doing so and learning about Christian fellowship was so evident. We left at 3.30pm and arrived home at 10pm. Tired, but happy in His service!
• Please pray for these three small towns and the homes opened.
• Pray too for Gabriel, Ariana and their son, who will bring their knowledge, and assembly experience to the area.

Col 1-4
A young African girl professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ a few weeks ago. She attends one of our Sunday Schools and also a Friday afternoon children’s meeting in one of the school hostels. She expressed concern about her spiritual condition and a week or two later came to faith in Christ. It has been a great encouragement to us.
Some months ago, a brother fell through the roof he was working on. Since then, he has been struggling with the effects of his injuries. A week or so ago, his condition deteriorated, and he was diagnosed with stage four cancer. I had the privilege of visiting him in hospital on Monday 6th October and he was quite bright, waiting for x-rays and a scan. He was mentally clear and appreciated the reading of the scriptures and the fact that we could commend him to the Lord in prayer. The following day, he was called home to glory. The next day, we went to visit their home to spend a little time with the widow, only to discover that she had been admitted to the ICU ward, in the same hospital, with a heart condition. Please pray for her and for the family. One married son is a believer, but another son is not saved. There is also a daughter.
This evening, we are starting a series of gospel meetings. My nephew, Andrew Grieve, has come to visit us and will take ten gospel meetings, dealing with questions that people sometimes ask. This evening, the question being considered is: “Where did the world come from?” Tomorrow evening, the question is: “Is the Bible the Word of God?” We would value prayer that we would know a sense of the presence of God and the moving of the Holy Spirit in our midst.
We appreciate your interest and fellowship in the work of the Lord. Please continue to pray for us.

Back in August we were in Hertfordshire for the annual Holiday Conference (held for many years at Slavanka, Boscombe). Helpful ministry was given by our brother Michael Wilkie and we had the privilege of conducting the children’s meetings with the 20 or so children in attendance. There was great interest shown and great volume to their singing each day!
In September we had a wonderful time of fellowship with the Saints at Deri, South Wales, running a Kid’s Club Special Week to relaunch their weekly work after the summer break. We were given the opportunity to visit the village primary school for an assembly on the Monday afternoon and then ran sessions each evening for the week. Attendance was good and the children listened well.
In October we were able to labour in fellowship with Jonathan and Ruth Singleton with a gospel outreach in the Candover Valley (between Basingstoke and Four Marks). A gospel leaflet was produced specifically about the area and distributed in the villages up through the valley. We held after-school children’s meetings in the Preston Candover Village Hall, opposite the school, for three Mondays and then gospel meetings in the evening. Support from the believers locally was excellent and there were unsaved present each evening. Three children attended each after-school session and the parents asked us on the last afternoon where we would be heading next locally so that they could continue to come along! As a result, we are planning a week of Christmas themed after-school sessions at the beginning of December and then potentially to continue a work in the village during next year, God willing. Please pray for guidance in the decisions made and for salvation in the villages.
Locally, at the assembly in Millbrook, we have been enjoying a series of teaching sessions on New Testament Church principles. Various brethren have the responsibility to teach the believers and this has already had positive effects in our family as our younger two children, Isaac (11) and Phoebe (9) have both asked to be baptised, in the sea, in November!
Please pray that the Word of God would continue to have free course into the hearts and lives of all who hear it, both young and old, for His glory!

MEXICO Marion
One of the privileges of the work in Mexico is working with others, whether fulltime workers, visiting brothers able to help, or local men. Considering the population (130 million), the lack of workers highlights the relevancy of the Lord’s own prayer request: “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest” (Matt 9:38).
The following is a brief, and very incomplete look at only a small part of the work and workers in Mexico.
A highlight this year was the formation of a new assembly in Los Arcos, Morelos, an area where Duncan Beckett has worked hard for some 12 years. San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, is where, from the ashes of a work destroyed by a renegade worker, God raised up a new lampstand for the honour of the Name above every name. From the beginning, John Dennison has been the anchor person for this work.
Over the last couple of years and more, Johnny Seed and I have tried to help an assembly in Coapinole in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, which suffered the moral sin and recklessness of a very prominent worker. Not only this assembly, but the unity of the work in Mexico has been affected. Thankfully, though, the majority of the assemblies remain united. As with any work, but especially with these kinds of assembly situations, “except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it” (Ps 127:1). It’s remarkable to see what the gospel can do, not only for the unsaved, but for believers. Of course, not only the gospel but good health-giving teaching is necessary. In Coapinole, Johnny has given much teaching and brought in others to teach. Pray that someday, a strong, stable, healthy, vibrant testimony will be the norm there.
Another assembly, Guasave, Sinaloa also suffered from the moral failures of another worker and recently lost a brother who was very much appreciated and vital throughout very difficult times. The reduced company is such that a concentrated effort seems necessary. Pray for the little flock in Guasave. A recent short gospel series was held, and hopefully another will be forthcoming soon.
Many outreach works have started but remain undeveloped, with few to help. The work in Mexico is ‘staffed by a skeleton crew’, if you like.
Another need is not only labourers in the harvest, but leaders in the house. While some assemblies enjoy a nicely developed oversight, others do not. Pray for the raising up of godly and wise elders who are grounded in the scriptures, and who have a shepherd’s heart.
Thus, while the work in Mexico has been beleaguered by much to discourage, it is the Lord’s work, and He can answer His own prayer petition, just as He did in Matthew 10 and Luke 10. Thank you for your prayers!

Saturday 13th WALES Pembrokeshire
We continue steadily in our witness for the Lord in this lovely town. Our Sunday School is still quite well attended - Rebecca had 15 under 6’s in her class the other week. We also have a second class for those older, both classes running at the same time as our gospel outreach to the parents or carers who bring the children along. It is an encouragement to us to see the children so enthusiastic in singing choruses and learning verses of Scripture.
Our main outreach Bible study, which we hold on a Wednesday evening, has been very well attended of late - there were 30 present this week. The format of the evening is that we have a meal prepared at 6.30pm for those who attend. About 7.15pm I introduce a subject - all are given worksheets at the beginning of the study - and then, having made a comment or two, the floor is open for people to ask questions, make comments etc. Latterly we have been looking at conversions in the Bible. Our first session was on the need to be born again, born from above, born of the Spirit. We followed this on with an evening on each of the conversions of Saul of Tarsus, Cornelius and friends, Lydia and the jailer of Philippi and then the Ethiopian Eunuch. We continue to pray that those who attend, new believers and as yet unbelievers, will be touched by the Spirit of God.
The latest book chosen for our Christian Book Club was ‘Seeking Allah Finding Jesus’. It is a most informative read and one that affected many of those who read it, as it relates the story of how a devout Muslim came to faith in Jesus Christ. It was an eyeopener to many, confirming them in their Christian faith and also informing us of what Muslims really believe. It also moves us to pray for believers in Muslim lands who face tremendous persecution.
The outreach through the Coffee Shop during the week is very popular - 80 percent of those who attend are non-churched. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 11.00am3.00pm. The work is heavy going but it is worth it as there are so many who are needy in the town and many come in and ask us to pray for them, tell us their stories of how they used to attend a place of worship but no longer do, or express their strong antipathy to anything Christian. The challenges are many!
In August of this year we buried our oldest son, Adam, in Bristol. We have found it hard to accept his passing - he was only 42 and has left behind a 9-year-old son and a lovely wife. How people cope with such tragedy in their lives without the Lord is beyond our comprehension. We know that there will be no tears in the glory, but we have shed many down here.

I am presently in Poland, having spent a profitable week giving Bible teaching in a number of Polish assemblies. Two beloved Polish believers, Marek and Ella, have travelled with me as we have covered about 1,200km visiting Mikołow, Tarnów, Lublin, Boża Wola, Warsaw Ursus, Bytom, and Zabrze. In each assembly the ministry of the God’s Word has been warmly received.
Over the past couple of months, I have enjoyed Gospel meetings in Pamber Heath Gospel Hall in the South of England, and in Rathfern Community Centre in association with Cloughfern Gospel Hall. The Lord has been pleased to draw near over these months and grant salvation and other encouragements. To God be the glory.
In November God willing I travel to California for a Conference and some Bible teaching with a small assembly in Galt. I was there last year and enjoyed the fellowship of the saints. Quite a number of young people attend the conference, and prayer would be valued for God’s blessing. When I return, I have a couple of weeks of Gospel meetings in Ballynaloob Gospel Hall, followed by Gospel meetings with Paul McCauley in Basingstoke in the South of England.
Prayer for these efforts is greatly valued. We are utterly dependent upon the Lord in every aspect of our work. Please do continue to pray for:
1. My family; Jennie, Anna and Caleb.
Newtownabbey
2. Wisdom for the direction of future service.
3. Fruitfulness in our Gospel work and Bible teaching. With sincere thanks in the Lord’s name for all your prayers over the years.

School Assemblies
Last June, a principal handed me the blank schedule for next year’s school assemblies, with the freedom to select any dates, reflecting the confidence that they will hear Bible-based, age-appropriate messages. Feedback from teachers in other schools has been positive, with one noting, “we seldom hear the gospel like that.” As schools resumed in August, my schedule filled up quickly. This year, I organised my assemblies to keep full weeks free for the Bible Exhibition. Additionally, a school in Carrickfergus joined after attending the exhibition earlier in the year.
The courts have not yet made a final decision on the challenge to the Education Authority’s policy requiring Christian-based religious education and school assemblies.
Origin Bible Exhibition
Leslie Craig and I recently completed a busy three weeks with the exhibition. First we returned to Newcastle, where we were two years ago, and all the schools from last time participated again. One Catholic school doubled their number of classes attending. These classes asked questions demonstrating they were carefully considering what they heard. While daytime school sessions were full, public turnout in the evenings and on Saturday morning was disappointing. However, the Friday night talk, “Can we trust the Bible,” drew a good audience, when Leslie spoke using one of the Bible Panels as a focus.
Big family Bible always creates interest
After dismantling the exhibition in Newcastle at 1pm Saturday, we set up in Ardmore Gospel Hall that evening. This was our first visit, and the assembly had worked hard to inform local schools, resulting in fully booked sessions. Teachers gave positive feedback; notably, the local Catholic school principal after attending said he wished he’d booked a double session. Each child and teacher received a gift bag with a Bible.
Evening sessions here were well attended by both Christians and unbelievers; Leslie was especially pleased when a former colleague attended and engaged in conversation for 45 minutes.
On Monday night, I spoke at the children’s meeting using objects from the exhibition, and on Friday I gave a public talk on whether the Bible is reliable and relevant.
We appreciate the hard work of the Christians in Newcastle and Ardmore, as well as John Mitchell’s help during Leslie’s other commitments. The exhibition then moved to Magherafelt Gospel Hall, where it was open each evening to the public and Leslie presented the Gospel using different parts of the exhibition.
Prayer Points:
• Pray for the children who hear the gospel message in school assemblies and exhibition visits. For some this is the only time they will do so.
• Give thanks that in Northern Ireland we have a large number of teachers who are believers and welcome those who present biblical truth into their schools.
• Pray the Lord will overrule in the pending court judgement, that the school visits can continue unhindered.
• Please pray for all those who attended the Bible Exhibition who are not yet saved and, in particular, Leslie’s former colleague.
• That the Gospel of John and the bibles that the children were given will be read in their homes. C. 1996

Tuesday 16th WALES Cardiff
The summer was very busy with camps and shows producing many opportunities. At the shows there were various conversations with believers and unbelievers who were seeking and many John 3 v 16 bags were given out. I re-engaged with a couple at a show in Bedwelty that I had met a few years earlier, just a few weeks after they had been saved. It was great to catch up again and to hear how the Lord is using their vastly changed lives to witness to others. They were full of questions on how they could be further used of the Lord.
Camp was a very fruitful time with three professing salvation during the week and many great conversations had. Some indicated that they were going to ask for baptism on their return home. I had the privilege of speaking at the baptism of three young people a few weeks later in Northampton.
The prison work continues with opportunities in three south Wales prisons. It is great to see those that have been saved progressing and attempting to reach out within the prison to others. I have had opportunities to write several books incorporating the experiences of those I have encountered, and the prisoners are eager to contribute, and some are busy with illustrations.
Whatever the time of year, there are always far too many homeless people on the streets of Cardiff. These needy people are sometimes difficult to communicate with. However, I often meet those that I have encountered in prison, and it is good to follow up with them. They may well be free from incarceration, but now they are facing their old enemies and are open to being trapped by their addictions. One man who heard the Gospel on the inside was pleased to meet up at the horsebox, and was asking why he had not heard the gospel before! He stated that everyone should know! More opportunities present themselves than can be taken.
It is good to be back in schools after the break. Some Headteachers have moved on and new ones arrive. This has presented challenges to ensure access to existing schools. Some Headteachers that have moved on have invited me to take assemblies in their new schools.
I have written the Christmas book that goes out free of charge. Feyi is busy illustrating, and we look forward to about 39,000 being distributed. We have had orders already for about 38,000. We are praying that these will be read and cause children, along with their families, to think.
I have recently come back from Logos School in Cyprus, where my role has recently increased and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve in a supportive way in that amazing place that facilitates the gospel being heard on a daily basis.
We continue to struggle with storage and are actively pursuing a solution to this. Prayer would be appreciated that the right decisions are made.

The work of Missionary Container Service Trust, shipping goods to Zambia, continues as the Lord provides through the generosity of His people. Since our last report we have been able to accumulate, load and ship 6 x 40ft High Cube containers, including the last one loaded on 11th October 2025.
After loading, it usually takes 8 weeks by container vessel until it arrives at Walvis Bay, Namibia, and then approximately another two weeks by road, before reaching its destination in Zambia.
Heb 1-4
We are often asked, ‘what do you ship?’. Our priority is always to provide things which are required by missionaries working at the various Mission Stations. Medical supplies and equipment, food and food supplement for malnourished children, stationery and household items, plus Gospels of John and other Bible Teaching literature. In this last Parcels ready for loading
container there were also over 30,000 ‘2026’ calendars, both in English and in local languages. Other practical items, for example, a mower to keep the airstrip in a safe and useable condition was shipped in October, along with tools and tyres as the need arises.
We are indebted to the many committed individuals and assemblies who support this work. It is our privilege to be the conduit by which the goods are delivered to those
who make use of them, for the spiritual blessing and practical support of those who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the exercise of the believers in these islands.
There continues to be an evident need for this service, and our missionary brothers and sisters are appreciative of the supplies received.
Prayer Points:
• For the continued supply of items which are needed and useful to the missionaries in their work for the Lord.
• For safety when loading and unloading the containers, and preservation while on transit.
• For ease of passage through Customs and Zambia Revenue Authority audits.
As Trustees, our prayer is that the Lord will continue to give us the vision to assist, both in a practical and in a spiritual way, those of His servants who endeavour to show the love of Christ in the spreading of the Word and the truth of the Gospel.

In June we had a gospel series in our own assembly in Perth which we called “Good News Fortnight”. I had the joy of sharing the preaching with brothers Jack Hay and Gareth Edwards. There were unbelievers in attendance each evening, some of whom had never been in the hall before. Despite good conversations and some being clearly troubled concerning their soul, none made it known that they had trusted Christ.
July began in Shetland for the second week of the Shetland Christian Youth camp. There were around eighty children aged between ten and twelve. We were delighted to hear at the end of the week that at least one of the older boys had quietly trusted the Lord as his Saviour without any fanfare.
The rest of the summer I was preaching in various places in Canada. First was a VBS (Vacation Bible School) in Sarnia, during their gospel series. In God’s goodness we know of five souls who professed faith in Christ during the series including a fourteen-year-old lad who was convicted on the first day of children’s meetings by the memory verse, “by grace are you saved through faith”.

The next stop was the assembly in Arnstein, north Ontario. My time there began with a youth conference. The Lord blessed the weekend with a recently saved twentyone-year-old girl and two boys aged eighteen and thirteen requesting to be baptised.
Staying in Arnstein I then had a VBS in the hall followed by a gospel series held in the local ice rink, minus the ice. We had forty-six kids at the VBS which is brilliant considering the local school has just over fifty kids. There were unbelievers and backsliders at every gospel meeting. We did not hear of any professions of faith but a couple with a young family who had gone away from the things of the Lord for many years came to almost all the meetings. The dad has been baptised and now received into fellowship. We are uncertain where his wife stands before the Lord and so are praying either for her salvation or restoration.
Gordon with Peter Ramsay and those who were baptised on the final night of the gospel series in West Richmond, Vancouver
In September I was serving with the assembly in West Richmond, Vancouver. Once again good numbers of children came to the children’s meetings as well as some parents. This gave us some new contacts and a springboard into the two-week gospel series. It was a pleasure to share the gospel series with brother Peter Ramsay from Prince Edward Island and to see the meetings well attended.
The Lord blessed with some professing faith in Christ including a young college student on the second last night. Others waited behind for conversations and to pray and have since shown positive signs of restoration. One man in his sixties, who was restored during the series, has requested to be baptised. We pray that they, along with those newly saved, will grow in their love for the Saviour and live their lives for His glory.

BRAZIL Piracicaba
Piraçicaba in the state of São Paulo is a large city of around 450,000 and is growing rapidly. The work in the assembly at Sta Terezinha brings encouragements and we have seen a number of young people baptised during the past year. There are 100 presently in fellowship. Once a month the believers divide into groups and cottage meetings are held in various parts of the city. These have been an encouragement, and it has been good to see the young people taking part and giving a word in the Gospel.
Our daughter, Lorena is at the front in the photo and you may be able to spot Andrew at the back. Andrew is also involved in regularly preaching the Gospel on a weekly TV programme which reaches around 45 towns. People daily phone in or WhatsApp prayer requests and follow up visits are made as and when requested. The programme is called “To live is Christ”. The messages can also be heard on YouTube.
Prayer Points:
• Please pray for the forthcoming annual conference over 3 days on 6th – 8th November. The assembly is hiring a hall for the meetings on the Saturday and one of these will be for Gospel outreach.
• Andrew has various weekends of meetings before Christmas and then a week of camp at Carangola in the state of Minas Gerais which starts on the 11th of January DV. There are many camps held up and down the country in January.
• Jony is currently teaching English at a private language school and also on-line and our daughter Lorena works as an analyst at a digital services company. We are thankful for their involvement in the work here. Please pray for guidance for their future.
• Please pray for more unity among the six assemblies in the city.

AUSTRALIA
At 94 years of age, I am no longer able to travel about preaching as once I did. I am so thankful to be in happy fellowship at Conference Hall (Brisbane Australia). The Lord has so graciously extended to me clarity of mind to still engage in worship, thanksgiving and prayer.
I now spend the majority of my time writing booklets based on what I have been enjoying of His Person. As well, believers have requested that I put to print some of the ministry I have had the honour to present at conferences, Bible readings and series of meetings here and overseas.
About 350 of these are distributed free of charge every few months to individuals and assemblies across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, USA, Canada and the United Kingdom. These twenty or so little booklets have been extremely well received, some of which have been published in assembly magazines.
When I am not writing, I try to maintain contact with dear believers, particularly those who are geographically isolated, those who are passing through trials and those who are seeking help understanding the Scriptures. I make my extensive library of books and charts available to those who are seeking additional help. My daughter and I share the gospel with our neighbours and invite them into our home, along with believers.
It brings me much joy to know that some of my mostrecent gospel papers are being included in calendar package distributions in Australia, New Zealand, Northern Ireland and America.
Brisbane
It is 80 years since I accepted Christ as my Saviour, sitting in the second front seat of the little Backbrae Gospel Hall, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Charlie McAlistair, my Sunday School teacher and Greengairs’ chimney sweep, pointed me to Christ through John 3:16. From that day forward, I have known the reality of salvation – by faith alone, in Christ alone. That night, as I walked home to my parents’ house on Greengairs Road, I knew the peace and joy that salvation brings. In 1946, I was baptised and received into the fellowship of the assembly at Backbrae Gospel Hall.
Along with my dear wife Jean, who went home in 2023, I have been engaged in full-time service for the Lord for over sixty-two years. It has brought me so much joy to preach
Jim McColl with Clark Logan

the gospel and to minister the Word of God throughout Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, USA, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Each day I pray that the Gospel will continue to go forth across Australia and the world, for the spiritual wellbeing of the Lord’s people, the continuance of Assembly testimony and that young men will be raised up to simply and clearly preach the gospel and minister to the saints through the detailed exposition of the Scriptures.

During the months of September and October, I had the privilege of being in the town of Candelária, helping brother Noel Fleck in a series of gospel meetings. The meetings lasted for six weeks, and while we did not hear of anyone professing faith in Christ during that time, we were encouraged by a number of people who attended.
One such case was that of a 49-year-old woman named Sônia, who came every night. Her mother is in the assembly, and Sônia herself was brought up attending Sunday school and gospel meetings in Porto Alegre. Since then she had not been to meetings for many years. Throughout the series, she showed a measure of concern for her soul’s salvation and on several evenings went home saying that she would really like to be saved. We continue to pray that she will keep coming to the Sunday night gospel meeting and that we will hear of her blessing soon.
Another encouraging case was a couple who began attending during the first week and continued coming throughout the series. It was their first time to be under the sound of the clear message of the gospel. They had previously attended various other churches, and it was interesting to hear their comments afterward. They were particularly struck by the fact that no money was ever requested - something they said was always emphasised in the other places they had been to. What a privilege to tell such people that the Saviour has already paid the full price for sin upon the cross and that “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Pray for them, and for others who attended, that they might soon be saved.
There were two annual conferences recently held, one in Candelária in September and another in Santa Cruz do Sul in October. Around one hundred attended each of these gatherings, most from the assemblies in that region of the state. Some of these assemblies are quite small and in need of encouragement and blessing. It was good to see the believers coming together for fellowship and the ministry of the Word. There are always a number of unsaved present at these conferences, and it is customary to close with a testimony and gospel meeting. We pray that all of these efforts will result in salvation.

BOTSWANA
Palapye
Firstly, we request prayer for our dear brother Dan Nguluka who has laboured in Botswana since the early 1990’s, whose beloved wife Stella went to be with the Lord on 22nd September after a prolonged illness. When we arrived in Botswana in January 1992, Dan and Stella were already in the country and were labouring in the North West area before moving to Maun, seven hours away from Palapye. Both Dan and Stella were treated for cancer in recent years.
Andy, Christine and I travelled to Lusaka for the large funeral on Saturday 27th September. Stella had an impact on people’s lives wherever she went and those saved through Dan and Stella’s outreach work, were greatly helped by her example, love and care. Prayer would be valued for Dan and for their three children who are all in Zambia, as well as the saints in the Maun Assembly who have lost a beloved sister in the Lord and a godly example.
On 1st September I received a phone call from an Officer in the Palapye Education Department. He explained that they meet as a department each week to pray and hear a message from the Scriptures. He asked if I could bring the Word of God to them in the board room. When I went to see him at the Rural Administration Centre, I discovered that he had heard me once at the school I go to each Wednesday morning, and they had given him my phone number. He indicated that I could preach on any subject so I decided it would be an excellent opportunity to show all the education officers some of the visual aids we used last year during the school term - an alliterated presentation on the authority and importance of the Word of God.
By way of introduction, we let them know that we began teaching the Word of God in Serowe schools in 1992, visiting weekly all 17 Primary Schools, all 5 Junior Secondary Schools and the Senior Secondary School. Then, in 1998 we began to teach the bible in all Palapye Primary Schools and in the year 2000 we started taking school assemblies each week in all 3 Junior Secondary Schools.
When I had finished my ‘presentation’, the two senior officers in the department expressed their sincere thanks for the work done over the years in both Serowe and Palapye, and for the work we still do in the schools. The opportunity to meet them and give the presentation was very, very encouraging.
We have been making regular visits to the Lechana settlement, an area of cattle posts where Rra and Mma Mpho live about 40 minutes north of Palapye. Rra Mpho got saved earlier in the year and we have been encouraged to see his regular attendance at the meetings each Lord’s Day morning. One of the couples who have attended gospel meetings in this area are called Rra and Mma Swapole - they are originally from Serowe and Rra Swapole grew up with Seabenyane Dichabeng. Seabenyane got them to come and hear the gospel.
In July, when Leonard Currie (from Scotland) was with us, we had two outreach meetings for the first time in the Swapole cattle post and further contacts were made with others who seem to have a desire to hear the Word of God. Last week, we were privileged to preach in another very unusual cattle post belonging to Rra and Mma Ndu – this cattle
post is almost like an open-air museum of traditional life in Botswana as he collects artefacts! We will be giving both of them a Setswana Bible at the earliest opportunity. We pray for blessing upon this work.
Last Lord’s Day we had a prize giving for the standard 7 Sunday School class. Once we preached the gospel, we gave out the prizes, followed by refreshments. 1st prize means three items of clothing, then they receive Bibles, stationery items, toys – mainly for the younger children and anything else that is sent by saints in the UK. In recent years the numbers have dropped considerably in the Sunday School and Bible Class. It is proving difficult to get back to pre-Covid numbers – for years we had around 430 prize winners,
now we are struggling to get 250 coming regularly. We value prayer that the seed of the Word of God sown each week to the children will bear fruit to God’s glory.

EGYPT/JORDAN
Writing from Jordan
We would like to share with you what the Lord has recently done among us, especially during our one-month ministry trip to Egypt, as well as through His work in Jordan and the Middle East. We hope and pray that this will be an encouragement and blessing, and that you will continue to pray with us for open doors in ministry.
The Lord is working mightily! We are joyful to share with you some glimpses of the Lord’s wonderful work in recent times – how He is opening new doors and bringing salvation in many places. These are living testimonies that His Word is not bound, and His power knows no limits.
Alexandria Conference:
The conference in Alexandria saw a blessed participation of about 140 people. The Lord was powerfully present – He encouraged us in the teaching and preaching. A particularly encouraging testimony was that of a young man named Ramiz (17 years old). He worked at the conference centre, had never read the Bible and had never personally heard about the Lord Jesus. On the final day of the conference the Lord opened his heart and mind, and Ramiz received the Lord Jesus with tears and began reading the Gospel. Since the conference he stays in touch with me and shares his joy about the peace of God.
Sohag Province:
In Sohag province, we experienced nine intensely blessed days of ministry. The Lord opened doors for over ten teaching events, each one strategically designed to reach different segments of the community with the life transforming message of the Gospel. These gatherings included a powerful youth meeting with approximately 40 young people, where we addressed the critical topic of the authenticity and reliability of the Bible, equipping them to stand firm in their faith. We also held a meaningful meeting for young women with about 50 present, presenting a clear comparison between life with Christ and life in sin, helping them understand the eternal consequences of both paths. We also had a public gospel meeting and over 200 people attended, with a gospel presentation on “being born again”, with a clear explanation of salvation through Christ alone.
Jordan – Rich Harvest among Refugees:
In Jordan, the ministry among refugees, especially through Bible study groups, continues to grow powerfully and expand in remarkable ways. The Lord is bringing salvation to people from various backgrounds, many of whom have experienced tremendous loss and suffering. Despite the many challenges these precious souls face, including poverty, uncertainty about the future, and the trauma of displacement, we continue to see God encouraging us through their extraordinary dedication and perseverance in Bible study and the Emmaus Bible Courses.
These dear brothers and sisters demonstrate a hunger for God’s Word that puts many of us to shame. They gather faithfully, study diligently, and apply what they learn with remarkable consistency. Their testimonies of God’s faithfulness amid trials are truly inspiring and strengthen our own faith. We are earnestly praying for more workers to join this ministry so we can adequately meet the growing demand. The harvest is truly plentiful, but the labourers are few.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6. Despite the many challenges and spiritual battles we face, we experience it daily: The Lord is working with even greater power. His Word is not limited, and God is opening new doors, bringing salvation to various people, transforming hearts, and changing destinies. We pray that this work continues, that new believers are strengthened, that servants are encouraged, and that His work keeps expanding for the glory of His Holy Name. We are confident that He who began this good work will carry it on to completion! Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

There are 125 children in the Dr. Edward Short’s Hostel and George Muller Home. These children are given special care in regard to their spiritual and physical wellbeing. They have daily prayer time, Sunday school and Youth classes etc. Kindly pray for these children that they will welcome the Lord into their hearts.
A new boy called Krishnachari, who is 14 years old recently joined the George Muller Home. He is HIV positive and also takes seizures sometimes, so please pray for him. He lost his mother in 2021 with this dreadful disease and his father left him a few months ago. His grandparents and uncle were caring for him, and they brought him to Bethesda. He has now joined Class 6 in Bethesda UP School and we are happy to say that the boy is now in the Bethesda family.
Tabitha, a teenager with HIV, has been sick for several months. Yesterday she underwent surgery for her intense appendicitis. She is an orphan and so Bethesda is her home. Kindly join us and pray for her recovery. Also, it is our prayer that she becomes a child of God.
Special prayer requests:
• We need a warden for Dr. Edward Short boys’ hostel. It is an urgent need so please pray.
• Please pray for the Lord’s guidance as we are planning to conduct a few special medical camps in nearby villages. Our objective is to reach as many people as possible, provide treatment and share the Good News of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that these medical camps may benefit them, not only physically, but also spiritually.

SOUTH SUDAN
Visit to South Sudan
1 John 1-5
Writing from Loloma
As part of a recent trip to several countries in Africa we were privileged to be able to enter briefly into South Sudan. Despite the separation of Sudan into two parts some years ago resulting in South Sudan being more of a Christian nation, much division among the 64 tribal people groups is still evident. As some of the local believers stated, it is only God’s saving power that can bring peace and unity to this nation.
Just a few kilometres from the Uganda border is the town of Nimule, where we were blessed to see some ways that God is at work in that area.
1. At a local prison, where about 150 inmates are crammed into a small building: As is typical in some parts of Africa, prisoners are not fed, so as an inmate you are dependent on your relatives to bring food. Seeing this need, the believers take food to the prison a couple of times a week which opened the way to consistently present the gospel to the inmates. Praise God a number have trusted Christ. The day after we left, we were informed there was a baptism for several of the inmates.
2. Through a radio station which broadcasts 16 hours each day, both in the local language and in English: One of those working at the station was saved through the prison work and so is now a great testimony in that area of a transformed life.
The local believers have seen much blessing through this work, thankful for the wide audience that listens to the daily Bible readings and the messages that are transmitted.
3. The RMC Academy boarding school that currently has 290 pupils: The school provides quality education in English on a spiritual foundation, and 60% of the students come from refugee camps. Sadly, many others are turned away due to the limited facilities, so with the help of the Lord the vision is to expand the capacity of the school. We were received with much celebration and had the privilege of sharing God’s word with the students. Such a work touching the lives of young people is always a joy to witness.
4. A ministry to train soldiers to become chaplains as a way to reach people needing help, peace and forgiveness: This program runs for a year providing a good Biblical foundation, and so far about 400 have completed it. Someone explained to us that due to the ravages of war and the resultant loss of lives, many soldiers are troubled by trauma. Others believe it is impossible for them to be forgiven for some of the murders they have committed. Yet what a joy and transformation when they are introduced to God’s amazing and all sufficient grace.
Prayer for these ministry opportunities is appreciated, along with the need for God to bring peace to this nation.

Your Five for Today (Five minutes of Spiritual Inspiration Broadcasts)
On 28 August I was invited by Nick Brown, the founder of Swansea’s Christian Radio Station, BMC Radio, to join a new WhatsApp Group called “Church in the Open”. Nick suggested that I should share our ‘Daily Messages with Meaning’ in the group which I accepted immediately. Praise the Lord.
This new group reaches fellow believers in India, Kenya, Malawi, Pakistan, Uganda, many Arabic countries and the UK, who are now sharing our messages in their own localities. The feedback to the messages has all been positive and very encouraging. We give the Lord all the praise and the glory.
In order to introduce the work of YOUR542DAY to the members of the group I posted the following which I trust you will find helpful too:
“BRIEF
BACKGROUND OF THE WORK OF YOUR542DAY
Your Five for Today (Your542day) was founded in 2014 to provide five-minute daily Messages with Meaning for Community Radio Stations in the UK. In the programmes we aim to show the relevance of the Bible in today’s modern world and the need of a personal relationship with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ because of His work on the Cross.
On Monday 21 July 2014 the first “Your Five For Today” was aired on Radio Tircoed, Swansea. Since that time a further six radio stations have regularly broadcast the messages. Over 2,000 inspirational messages have been produced, recorded and broadcasted. In addition, hour long programmes have been broadcast at Easter and Christmas.
The messages are available freely on CDs and memory sticks for use in personal evangelism, coffee mornings, residential care homes, agricultural shows, street markets, prison work and also Talking Books for the Blind. We raise our Hallelujahs and give God all the glory.
Daily messages are also available on our phone line by dialling 015 542 53 542 in the UK and worldwide on our website on www.your542day.com and in written form on our WhatsApp Groups. Only the Lord knows the extent to which these messages reach.”
It is amazing how we are able to use social media to fulfil the Lord’s command to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Recently we have received requests for over 50 memory sticks from Northern Ireland and the West Country.
Prayer Request:
We were privileged to provide our daily ‘Messages with Meaning’ to RADIO TIRCOED for over 10 years until September 2024. At that time, a new owner took over renaming it SA RADIO LIVE and at the same time dropping our five-minute programme saying it did not fit in with his future plans for a modern radio station. This week we discovered that SA RADIO LIVE finished in June 2025, when ownership changed again and the name changed to WELSH COAST RADIO for Swansea and South Wales.
Mike Lewis, the former Station Controller of RADIO TIRCOED and a very good friend of YOUR542DAY, now co-hosts a show on WELSH COAST RADIO and he has promised to enquire with the new owners if they would be prepared to reinstate our five-minute slot. Please pray earnestly that the Lord will reopen the door for His eternal praise and glory. We shall shortly be approaching several Radio stations to offer our Christmas hour-long programmes and would appreciate your prayers.

ENGLAND/ANGOLA
Candover Valley
Rev 1-4
Camundambala / Writing from England
This year, gospel literature has been distributed in ten villages in the Candover Valley: seed sowers John 3v16 (1st visit), Exploring Christianity by Gareth Edwards (2nd visit), bespoke for the Candover Valley a Gospel Tract and invitations to children and adult meetings in the village hall (3rd visit).
Yesterday we finished, with Simon Hall, the third of three Mondays in the Candover Village Hall of Children and Gospel Meetings and are encouraged to say that three local village children attended each week (along with some assembly family children), and with their parents have requested we continue. Along with Simon and Chrissie, we feel maybe we could do a week of Christmas Bible Clubs with craft the first week of December.
Seven adult unbelievers attended the gospel meetings over the three Mondays, one from the village last night. The support of local believers to these meetings was a great encouragement to us.
Angola
Tomorrow, we plan God willing to return for a third time this year to Angola, but for a 30-day visit as we are still awaiting receipt of our 5-year residency cards. This will be to travel to the East of the country to help our full-time working sister Irene Cardoso. With the help of Phil Kennedy (Brass Tacks) we hope to finish putting ceilings into her home, complete the final plumbing outstanding and see the progress on the new assembly building.
Please pray with us:
For the gospel work past and planned in the Candover Valley, both in the homes and the village hall.
For our service for the Lord in Angola during the next month.

We are happy to confirm that the construction of the two new school rooms and accompanying bathrooms was completed in record time! We did, however, face an unexpected setback. A surprise inspection temporarily halted work for three days. The inspector cited the proximity to street-side electrical wires as a safety concern. While we were confident that those specific wires were not live, the local authorities have the final say. We are immensely grateful that the issue was resolved swiftly and professionally. A key factor in the resolution was the advocacy of a sister in the assembly who has a positive relationship with the involved authority figure. We praise the Lord for using His people to clear a path for the work to continue.
It is very encouraging to look back and see the Lord’s timing—He provided the necessary construction funds just three days before our planned start date! I had seriously considered cancelling the construction and using my own living room as an extra classroom, but God’s provision was perfect and timely.
A very worrisome issue continues to be the traffic safety directly in front of the school. Vehicles frequently pass without slowing down, creating a severe danger for our students arriving and leaving. For over three years, we have been diligently seeking official permission from the local government to install traffic-calming measures, specifically speed bumps. This process has been an exhausting circle, with each government department passing the request off to another. We have taken every legal step, including putting up signs and painting clear warnings on the road surface. The school director recently held a meeting with all the parents, once again informing them of the exhaustive and fruitless effort we have made to obtain the required permit. The situation has become so perilous that the parents, after discussing the recent nearmisses, have wanted to take the matter into their own hands and install temporary speed bumps themselves, operating outside of the official, slow-moving channels. While we cannot endorse action taken outside the law, their frustration is understandable given the government’s inaction on a critical child safety matter.
Please pray for the safety of the children, the parents, and the school staff during the coming weeks, particularly regarding the traffic situation. Pray for the school director and the assembly to have wisdom and to gain favour with the local authorities so that we can secure the official permission for permanent safety measures. Pray that our ministry and school would continue to be a light in the community and that the Lord would protect us from any adverse legal or financial consequences stemming from these obstacles.
We would also like to again insist and plead for your prayers for the general political situation in the country. Without going into too many details, there is much uncertainty and unrest. We trust in God’s sovereignty and know that an attitude of prayer is what will produce peace of mind (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

South Lebanon Relief
Despite the ‘ceasefire’ being almost a year in place, frequent airstrikes and violations continue in South Lebanon (from the other side of the border). This no longer reaches international news but the situation remains tense and difficult for many. Even in Beirut, the drone is regularly flying at low altitudes monitoring and reminding everyone of recent events.
It is hard to know the exact number of people who remain displaced from South Lebanon, but reconstruction is yet to be arranged, and many villages have lost entire infrastructure. Despite this, people are returning as they have no alternatives. A major factor is the need for children to return to school.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Relief Project during the war. As many of you will know, God placed these people on my heart during the war. I can relate in some degree to their situations having been displaced myself from my home in Tyre.
• Approximately 8,000 relief packages distributed since November, 2024.
• Relief packs include an Arabic NT and various food items, such as pasta, tuna, lentils, noodles, flour, sugar, rice etc.
• Distribution in 18 locations up until now.

Lebanese Evangelical School – Tyre (LEST)
The school year started a few weeks later than normal, but we hope for a year where students can peacefully attend. We intend to resume chapels and staff devotionals next week. It is difficult to maintain these in our context as many Evangelical Schools no longer do so. Please pray for protection, strength and inspiration to carry on this part of the ministry.
Many are feeling under pressure as they did not have any opportunity to rest or recover from war. They continue to live with sounds and news of ceasefire violations. Please pray for endurance and protection. We continue to grieve the loss of students during the war. In September another family tragically lost their lives. A student in Grade 5, her younger siblings and father were killed in an airstrike. A student in Grade 8 plus the mother have critical injuries. This is an example of the tragedies occurring and so we ask you to pray for the injured, the family and wider community.
Personal
Due to the ongoing situation, I continue to be based primarily in Beirut. This has been helpful in enabling me to have fellowship with believers. It has also been important as a break from the two years of war that continues to mark life in the south.
I am currently looking for a new apartment in Beirut and would value prayer for this. The place I have been staying will not be available and this brings increased costs as it belonged to an associated school with generator provision etc. Please pray that God will provide the right apartment in His timing.
I continue to build up my time in Tyre and hope to establish regular days for the coming months. A lot of my time is occupied in preparing the school and wider community for an upcoming accreditation with an international organisation. This is a lot of work so please do pray for wisdom and patience as I lead this. Thank you for your continued prayer and support.

FRANCE Nantes
Greetings once more from Nantes in the Saviour’s precious Name! We are enjoying a spell of sunny days, cool mornings and evenings, with stunning autumnal colours. Praise God for His beautiful creation! We also thank Him that this month I can type using both hands, unlike last month, and that physiotherapy exists for helping broken things come right once more. Back in the summer I fell off my bicycle and broke my wrist and was rather incapacitated for a few months. We are thankful that the wrist is continuing to heal well.
In July the Lord wonderfully sent us Jodi, all the way from Canada, to stand in for absent staff in the bookshop. Jodi receives our monthly letters and in June we had mentioned the needs at the shop. She was at a crossroads in her life and ministry and within three weeks she was with us! Her presence meant that the shop was open with its normal business hours throughout July and August and on a personal level we were less needed. On the other hand, we had family staying with us for six weeks, at some points four of them (Naomi, Samuel and family) and at other points eight of them (the first four plus Catrina, Tim and family) so it was quite intense at times!
In August a new student, Teddy and his wife Marjolaine, arrived in Nantes. They found an apartment to rent in the same locality as us, not far from the Beaujoire church. Teddy will be helping with various aspects of assembly life as well as pursuing his theological studies with Geneva Bible Institute. Marjolaine is a newly trained podiatrist and has started a job at the local hospital. We thank the Lord for sending them here and we trust they will both bring and receive blessing as they fellowship with us.
Last Friday two new Discovery Groups were launched, one at lunchtime and one in the evening, bringing together five “seekers”. None of them has a Christian background, so it’s a case of starting from scratch, but what a privilege to open God’s Word with these individuals. We pray for the Spirit to reveal Christ to them. Pray too for Gerry and Teddy as they lead the studies.
In September we had to move to two services each Sunday morning, due to lack of space. A change like this necessitated a fair deal of planning and organisation. Gerry spent lots of time working on that along with numerous other details. The first service is at 9.30am and the other at 11.30am, with coffee served between the two meetings to encourage the people from both services to mingle to avoid the two groups becoming distinct from each other. After all, it’s two parts of the same body! Having two services is still in experimentation, and over the next weeks and months the elders will be looking out for other solutions to the space issue. We value your prayers for wisdom to lead the church forward as the Lord directs.

CYPRUS Logos School, Limassol
In September the carpark land purchase was completed! The loan was initiated, papers signed, land registry and title deeds updated – very exciting news for us here. Thank you for your support and prayers. We also entered the new school year with a full complement of staff ready to serve in the Master’s service and with much encouragement in our hearts. We continue to lay our trust in the Lord – He has demonstrated His faithfulness towards us time and time again.
Whilst we rejoice, one of our families faced a terrible crisis over the summer. A new baby sister, Eden, was lost the day before her due date, with the mother in a critical condition in hospital. The mother, Karen, has made incredible progress and after weeks in induced coma with almost no hope, the Lord has brought her through. She continues to improve and is hoping to move out of the ICU shortly. Karen and her husband, Richard, are believers whose faith has been tested over the last weeks, more than many will be in a lifetime. Their two girls Faith and Ava are in our primary classes – please pray for them as they have returned to school, but struggle with loss in the place of joy, and being separated from their mum for so long.
The new school year is well underway, and it is wonderful to have our 309 students back in and hearing the Word of God daily. Several new clubs have also got started, motivated by the desire to share scripture and build relationships and share testimony with our students. We are also incredibly encouraged by a gift from an assembly in England which meant the remainder of the school’s classrooms were able to have interactive whiteboards fitted. Both students and teachers are now benefitting from this technology upgrade and incredible teaching tool, which many schools have considered standard kit for decades.
In October we saw a transition on the Board, with Stuart Scammell (Wales) becoming Chair, and Darren Woodside and Andrew Entwistle serving as Vice-Chairs following the retirement of Colin Clarke. It is fitting to express our deep gratitude to Colin and Coleen Clarke for their long and faithful service to Logos School.
New whiteboards in use
Colin chaired the Board and the Logos Trust for over two decades, spending half of each year in Cyprus. Under his leadership the school’s ownership was secured, closure avoided more than once, financial stability gained and land acquired – enabling the continued ministry of the Gospel at Logos.
Colin was a regular presence in school, sharing the Gospel in assembly and “stirring the grey matter” – always quizzing the students and keeping them on their toes… as well as overseeing school management.
Both Colin and Coleen made great personal sacrifices to sustain the school’s work and
we remain profoundly thankful for their devotion to the Lord and to the Logos community. As Coleen is currently very unwell and with Colin caring faithfully for her, we commend them to the Lord’s grace and ask you to remember them in your prayers.
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

good is the God we adore, Our faithful, unchangeable Friend, Whose love is as great as His power, And knows neither measure nor end.
