FIRST LEGO League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers to explore a real-world problem as a team! Focusing on the fundamentals of engineering, kids will learn to design, code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Essential technology. Registration is open during the offseason and teams are locked in upon beginning of Competition season. Ciao amici! They say food is the best vehicle for learning a new language! Basic conversational classes with an Italian mother tongue teacher, designed for students with little or no background in Italian. This class will be tailored on Italian food and culinary instruction and you can expect to learn basic vocabulary, simple conversation topics, practice standard pronunciation, and form sentences using the present tense. Last class will be an optional culinary cooking experience (extra fee) where you will learn the art of making homemade pasta and sauces at The Gifted Kitchen.

All recreation programs are cancelled when Longview schools are closed due to weather. Morning recreation programs are cancelled when schools are delayed due to weather. If you are dissatisfied with your experience, use this form to notify the recreation office in writing prior to the second class to request a full refund. Refund Requests: Refund requests may be granted if the department is notified in writing three working days before the first class. Refunds are NOT available for one-day classes/events, team athletics, trips, or special events. All participant-initiated refunds are subject to the Recreation Manager’s, or designee’s, approval. Once approved, refunded fees can be applied to any current season activities, donated to our scholarship fund, or refunded by check or credit card within 20 days after approval.
