Luke Trewin and Kathleen Garry
Romance on High – first time buyer pops the question 100 feet above Quarters. First Home Buyers, Kathleen Garry and Luke Trewin, have started their life at Quarters together on a high! Luke recently proposed to long time girlfriend Kathleen while hovering in a helicopter above their new Quarters homesite. The romantic Luke persuaded a friend to write the words, “Marry Me?” across the couple’s address-to-be. On noticing the grand gesture, a shocked but ecstatic Kathleen quickly said, “I will.”
We chose Quarters for its location and close-knit community atmosphere.
“It’s a very convenient area for us – close to family and friends as well as local shops and transport links,”
“A number of other young couples have also bought homesites in the development,” he adds. “We think there’ll be a great community feel at Quarters once homes are complete and everyone has moved in.” The happy couple have purchased a House and Land package with Metricon and look forward to planning their dream home and their 2013 wedding at Quarters. So if you happen to see the romantic duo on your street at Quarters, don’t forget to say, “Congratulations!”

Supporting every quarter of our Cranbourne community. Peet’s Community Sponsorship Program supports community initiatives and local clubs around Cranbourne. It’s just part and parcel of our continuing commitment to our close-knit communities. We’re excited to announce that we’ve now signed sponsorship agreements with our local Cranbourne Cricket Club and Cranbourne Netball Club.
The new partnerships will run for five years and 12 months respectively, using funding from Quarters to buy vital equipment and refurbish facilities at Casey Fields.
The Gatux family are proud new owners of a homesite from Stage 1 at Quarters.
Cranbourne Cricket Club President, Shaun Petrie, says the Club’s partnership with Peet’s Cranbourne communities had come as a great pre-season boost for local cricketers.
“On behalf of the Club I’d like to thank Peet for its financial support. This additional
funding means we can continue to provide first-rate cricket facilities at Casey Fields,” he adds. But at Peet Cranbourne we’re not just supporting our rising sports stars.
We’re also delighted to support our budding young artists and the wider community at the local Fleetwood Primary School Art Show for a second year in a row.
A great win for Quarters – and for the environment.
Our water-saving features and big commitment to conservation and community have earned Peet’s newest community in Cranbourne top marks from the Urban Development Institute of Australia. Quarters was recently awarded an EnviroDevelopment accreditation in the categories of Water; Ecosystems and Community, making the community one of the first residential developments to be recognised by the UDIA’s scientificallybased assessment program. UDIA Victoria Executive Director, Tony De Domenico, congratulated Peet on the accreditation and endorsement, which is designed to foster sustainability and make it easier for buyers to choose more environmentally sustainable communities and lifestyles.
“Quarters is an outstanding residential project that has met rigorous criteria to earn accreditation for its commitment to the environment and sustainability in three critical areas,” he said. We’re delighted that the accreditation recognises our strong commitment to developing environmentally-friendly, sustainable and connected communities. “Establishing communities that demonstrate a practical commitment to sustainability without compromising affordability and accessibility has never

been more important,” says Brendan Gore, Peet’s Managing Director and CEO. “At Quarters we value and respect our environment and want to use water more wisely,” he adds. “As more new
homebuyers build and move in, Quarters is designed to promote a greater sense of community – connecting residents to each other and to local services and amenities in a new, vibrant way.” Key features at Quarters recognised by the accreditation include: • Supply of Class-A recycled water to every home
• Better stormwater drainage for the natural waterways to protect the environment and homes; • A network of interlinked pedestrian pathways • Links into an established transport network • Fibre-optic cabling to every home • A planned community primary school. Quarters is the first Peet community to be recognised in Victoria. In Western Australia, Peet’s Shorehaven at Alkimos and Avon Ridge at Brigadoon have also received the EnviroDevelopment accreditation.
• Recycled water used on parkland areas • Landscaping with water wise native plants, which also provide food and habitat for native animals

Malinda and Yehani Weerasinghe thought long and hard before deciding to build a dream home for their young family at Quarters. They began by researching Peet communities down to the very last detail.
“One of the things we liked about Quarters is that Peet puts building covenants in place for all their communities,” Yehani explains. “This is great, because it protects the value of your home, making sure the entire neighbourhood is built to the same standard.”
Meet Your Neighbours, the Weerasinghes Before signing on the dotted line, Malinda and Yehani visited an established Peet community in nearby Pakenham to see how building covenants were working on the ground.
“We really liked what we saw,” says Malinda enthusiastically. “And we’re looking forward to that same attention to detail at Quarters.”
Yehani agrees, adding that Quarters suited the needs of his family perfectly.
“Our new home will be directly opposite the park and close to a future school – with young children having a primary school close by is a real advantage. We can’t wait to move in!”
