South East (Blackheath, Greenwich, Docklands, Canary Wharf): There are good transport links thanks to the Jubilee line, the Docklands Light Rail (DLR) and the East London line, and accommodation is reasonably priced. Canary Wharf is a financial centre.

Greenwich has a fantastic market and New Cross hosts Goldsmiths College. Irish Community Services and Lewisham Irish Centre are located here.
